Lana By: R. K. Lilley

(N) We met Lana in the Up in the Air series and now it's time to hear her story. Lana can't remember a time when she wasn't hopelessly in love with Akira. Even knowing that Akira viewed her as nothing more than his kid sister that did nothing to dampen Lana's feelings for him. After one night together when Lana was eighteen she made their situation worse than it was before. Lana seduced Akira and afterwards it become evident that their little love affair was only one-sided and unable to deal with seeing Akira with someone else a heartbroken Lana leaves her home and her beloved paradise island.
Now after being away from home for eight years Lana is finally returning to Hawaii. Her plan is to just make a brief trip home for business no harm no foul. But Lana's plan quickly go out the window when she runs into the reason she left the first time, the one man she has never been able to get over.
I love this book, it's a quick read but an enjoyable one. Lana is a book that no matter how many times I read it I still find myself unable to put it down and cannot wait to read what happens next. For this book you don't necessarily have to read the Up In The Air series but you will know how it ends if you don't.

Grounded (Up In The Air Book 3) By: R. K. Lilley

(N)  Grounded is the concluding book in the Up in the Air series. Bianca has now reached a point in her relationship with James where she can no longer deny her feelings for him. In a move so unlike herself Bianca agrees to move in with James. As Bianca and James begin to grow closer an outside circumstance beyond either of their control could tear them apart. But nothing compares to the monster that is out there searching for Bianca, wanting her dead, a monster that Bianca cannot escape from forever.
If you haven't read this series yet then I suggest you do. This is definitely a series worth reading. In a way this series kind of reminded me of the Crossfire series and the Fifty Shades series so if you are a fan or either one of those series then this series is worth giving a try.

Mile High (Up In The Air Book 2) By: R. K. Lilley

(N) In this Up in the Air sequel James and Bianca story continues. It has been a month since Bianca was attacked in her own home and was left hospitalized. Towards the end of the last book Bianca told James that she needed some space and he's made good with it giving her as much space as only James could handle. But even with the space between them Bianca's feelings for James still has yet to change. It was only a matter of time before Bianca wouldn't be able to deny the pull that she feels for him any longer.
I found this book to be just as good as the first book. I could not put this book down and finished it in no time at all. This is a series that should be read.

In Filght (Up In The Air Book 1) By: R. K. Lilley

(N) Bianca works as a first-class flight attendant with her best friend Stephan. When reserved Bianca gets one look at billionaire hotel owner James Cavendish she loses her composure. Bianca finds herself weakened at the knees at a man for the first time in her life. She cannot seem to look away from James and his breathtakingly striking turquoise eyes. Bianca finds it impossible to resist James, for a girl who is used to saying no to men this time she cannot seem to say it with meaning.
Bianca is used to dealing with lavish and extravagant people in first class but James Cavendish puts them all to shame with his looks and his presence. There is this draw that Bianca feels for this dominant man one that she seems to be unable to ignore.
I have read the Up in the Air series before and decided to write a review on these books. I find that even though I haven't read this book in a while I still could not put it down and managed to finish it in no time at all.

Fugly By: Mimi Jean Pamfiloff

(N) Lily Snow is twenty-five years old and has never once heard that she was beautiful. Lily was born with an unattractive face, one that people seem to be taken back by when they first see her. Despite all this Lily has never doubted herself, she's smart, driven and is beautiful where it matters, on the inside.
Then she meets Maxwell Cole. Maxwell is handsome, wealthy, and the owner of Cole Cosmetics. It has always been Lily's dream to work for Cole Cosmetics and the owner himself. When Lily gets the chance to interview for Maxwell there are pros and cons that come with this job interview. The pro is that Maxwell wants to hire Lily but the con is that he's hiring her for all the wrong reasons. Ugly reasons.
Maxwell is willing to offer everything that Lily has ever dreamed of, a dream job, a title, and a beautiful future. But in exchange for all this it means working for a man who is messed up and more ugly on the inside than she is on the outside.
This is another book I held off reading for the longest time and now that I finally got around to reading it this book did not disappoint. I managed to finish this book in no time at all and is definitely something that I would recommend to others.

Little Black Book By: Tabatha Vargo & Melissa Andrea

(N) Sebastian Black buys whatever he wants and that includes women. He pays for women to be in his little black book, once a name is in there he can call whoever he wants and they must drop everything and come to him. But being one of these women means that for however long he wants you he will give you a monthly allowance but once he sees the woman begin to have feelings for him they are immediately crossed out of his book and cut off. All Sebastian wants is sex not a relationship, just sex. There are only two rules to live by when being in this affair and that is don't ever deny him and don't fall in love.
I have wanted to read this book for a while now and I finally got around to reading it. I have to say after reading this book I'm kind of glad that I waited for the price to go down on this book before buying it because it wasn't what I thought that it would be. The second book in the trilogy series is out now but after finally reading this book I can't see myself continuing on with this series.

Confession of a Tattooist By: Lexy Timms

(N)  Hawk Reynolds is the hottest tattoo artist in the city and it's not just because he's a terrific artist and knows how to do wonders with a needle and someone's skin. But it's also because Hawk is smoking hot thanks to his terrific hair, tattooed sleeves and a body worth killing for. Plenty of women come through his shop just to get his hands to touch their bodies but none of them have ever some close to touching him where it really matters, his heart. That is until one of his regulars comes in with her best friend Joy.
Joy's a shy and intelligent blonde and has no idea just how beautiful she actually is. Joy has never really been interested in getting a tattoo but when she sees the art on the walls in the shop she becomes interested in the artist who drew them, the same one that bad-boy tattoo artist. Joy hasn't had the best luck with men before, in the past men have only dated her because of who her father is, famous Hollywood director Terry Reed. It's because of her past why Joy has never wanted to be used in that same way again but when her relationship with Hawk begins to turn into something meaningful Joy begins to question if maybe this time she is the one using him.
Hawk has told Joy multiple times that there are two things that he cannot stand liars and people in Hollywood. And Joy has done both, she lied, and what's worse she's lied about who her family is. Most of her family is associated with Hollywood in one way or another.
I could not put this book down from the minute I started reading. This book held my attention for the entire time and I definitely recommend reading this book to others.

(N) When Shaw first finds out that she is pregnant with Robert Stone's child she has no idea just how much her life is about to change. But it is, first Shaw loses her dream internship, then she was kicked out of her mother's house and left virtually homeless, she has no money to her name and no place to go. So Shaw did the only thing she could do she called Robert and left him message after message each message getting worse when he doesn't pick up the phone. And when Shaw still doesn't hear back from Robert she decides to call Robert's family and begs them for help. Shaw had no idea that Robert was a billionaire or the he had tragically died. And then Cameron, Robert's asshole brother flies to New York to get Shaw and bring her back to England with him all to prove that she is lying and whose baby she is actually carrying.
Cameron doesn't believe that Shaw is carrying Robert's child. He's convinced that Shaw is nothing more then a con artist out to steal their family's money and the last piece of sanity his parents have left while still mourning for their dead son. While his parents believe Shaw Cameron doesn't so for the time being he's making it his mission to keep an eye on Shaw while she is living under his roof. But the more time Cameron spends with her the more he finds himself attracted to Shaw. He wants to be with her, he desires her.
I first read this story was through a sample that gave you the first 12 chapters for free and by the time I finished reading that sample I could not put the book down and had to find out what happened next. Needless to say I brought the whole book right away and finished the rest of the story before I knew it. This is definitely a book worth reading.

Me Before You By: Jojo Moyes

(N) Louisa Clark is an ordinary girl living an exceedingly ordinary life, she has a steady boyfriend, a close family and a good job. But when that job ends and Louisa badly needs a new one she starts working as a caretaker for Will Traynor. Will has been in a wheelchair ever since being in an accident that left him quadriplegic. Before his accident Will lived in extraordinary life traveling the world and participating in extreme sports and now being stuck in a wheelchair has left him without the will to live this way anymore.
Will is moody and bossy but Louisa refuses to let that get to her and soon she makes it her mission to make him happy. When Louisa learns of Will's plans for the near future she makes her own plans to show Will just what life still has to offer.
I first became aware of Me Before You while watching the trailer for the movie and immediately wanted to see it. When I saw that the movie was based off of a book I knew I wanted to read it. While first reading this book I wasn't completely sure that I was really into this book but the when I saw how much time had passed while I was reading I thought 'okay maybe I do like this book.' Overall once I finished reading Me Before You I think that it was a good read maybe not a great read but it did hold my attention throughout the whole book which is good. And I still cannot wait to see this when it comes out in the movie theater.
