Revived is the second book in the Revved series. I read the first book in this series and fell completely in love with it but the same cannot be said for this book. This book just didn't have the same affect on me as the first book in this series did. I only managed to get less than half way through this book before I finally just gave up reading it. Revived wasn't that good of a read and I just couldn't finish reading it.

Fury By: Alison Ryan
(N) Logan Lowery's a rising soccer player. Her whole life she has had this dream of going to the Olympics. Just as it seemed like her dream and the chance to join the US Women's National Team was within reach life took a devastating turn of events. But then a chance run-in with Solomon Kano would end up being just the thing that Logan needed.
Solomon Kano has ambitions of becoming an Olympic champion of his own as well as his own tragic past that he doesn't want to share. But that's fine with Logan because Solomon's not the only one who has secrets and a heart to guard.
Logan was always taught you don't play a hand unless you are sure you can win it. But with Solomon it might just be worth the risk.
I could not put this book down. I have finally got around to reading a good book again and this one takes the cake. Fury got my attention from the moment I started reading and held it all the way until the very end.
One of the aspects that I loved about this book was that it was split up into three different categories; the birth of champions, the making of champions and when champions rise. The birth of champions was when you really got to read about Logan and Solomon's story of where they started out in terms of their parents and just how different their lives would soon become. The making of champions was Logan and Solomon's own stories on their rise to becoming the Olympians they have always dreamed of being. And the book ends with when champions rise, it's Logan and Solomon's story of what happens when they can both see their dreams within reach.
It was such an interesting twist reading the lives of Logan's and Solomon's parents stories from the parents themselves instead of from Logan and Solomon. As a reader you are better able to see just what went into making these two the people that they would become before they were even born. With each section I found myself getting more and more interested in their story and before I knew it the story was over. This is definitely a book that I would recommend reading.

You and I Alone (Book 1) By: Melissa Toppen
(N) Twenty-one year old Anna Blake has lived her whole life by one simple rule, never get attached. Having learned early one in life that nothing in life is guaranteed, she knows that the one person she can ever truly count on is herself. But when she accepts a job as a dancer at one of the most secretive and exclusive clubs in the country she meets the one man who makes her begin to question everything that she ever thought she knew.
Bentley Reed is exactly the type of man that women crave. He's rich, powerful, and sexy, the complete definition of a playboy. A former soccer star turned business mogul Bentley is used to getting what he wants and what he wants is Anna (known in those circles by her stage name Logan). Bentley has never met a woman like Anna before and he just can't seem to let her go no matter how hard she tries to tell him that she doesn't want him.
The attraction these two have for one another in undeniable and neither could deny that just from their first encounter. When Anna agrees to one night with Bentley she has no idea that that one night could mean so much more. Bu no matter her feelings Anna is determined to walk away from a man who is insistent on not letting her go.
This was yet another book that started out on a good note and then slowly went down for me. You and I Alone had a good beginning but I soon found myself becoming less interested in the story and in the relationship between Anna and Bentley as time went on. Don't get me wrong there were some good chapters and pages in this book but overall it was not that good. This wasn't the best book that I had read but it also wasn't the worst. But it was still a book that I have no inclination to read again and one I wouldn't recommend reading.

Always Have By: Claire Kingsley
(N) Kylie's best friend Braxton is the hottest man that she has ever known. He's got a rock hard body and a smile that melts every woman that he meets. Every woman that is except for Kylie.
Kylie is anxious to get out of the dating world and have a relationship with someone that is real. Despite the way Braxton tends to suck the air out of her lungs, Kylie knows that he is nothing but trouble. Braxton is just another player and Kylie doesn't want to be just another notch on his belt.
But Braxton isn't the man that Kylie thinks he is. The real reason that he's with so many different women is simple. Braxton can't be with the woman he wants so he goes towards women who is knows he could never see himself with fully. Because the woman he really wants to be with is Kylie.
Braxton wants to be with Kylie, he wants to have more than just a friendship with her. But there's always something in the way of that friendship ever becoming more. So he stays her friend, watching Kylie date men who are too stupid to realize just how good she is. But there's always this worry that the next guy will realize just how special Kylie is and will take her away from him forever.
Always Have was yet another book that started out on a good note but after a while it began to lose my interests. At first I was into this book but after a while it started to sound like other friends turned lovers books that I have read. But the problem was, this one just didn't hold a candle to others ones that I have read and that made it hard to care about what I was reading. In my opinion Always Have is a book that could be skipped if you want to read a book like this I think that there are better ones out there.

Bound By Hatred (Born in Blood Mafia Chronicles Book 3) By: Cora Reilly
But when Matteo 'The Blade' Vitiello set his eyes on Gianna at his brother wedding he knew he had to have her and Rocco Scuderi was more than willing to give Matteo his daughter. But Gianna has other plans, she has no intention of marrying someone for any reason other than for love. So a few months before the wedding Gianna escapes her bodyguards and runs away. She has enough money to flee to Europe where she begins her new life, never staying in once place for too long. But staying undetected when the mob is searching for you isn't easy, it takes everything in Gianna to not get caught especially when one of the best hunters and assassins is after her, Matteo Vitiello.
But after six months on the run Gianna is finally caught in Munich and what's worse Matteo and a couple of her father's soldiers catch her with another man. And despite her pleas the soldiers kill the man she's with, and Gianna is forced back home and forced to marry Matteo. Gianna is determined to make life with her husband a living hell but Matteo is a master of games and he isn't going to make life easy for Gianna.
Bound By Hatred is the third book in the Born in Blood Mafia Chronicles, I skipped over the second book because I was not that interested in that particular story line. But this one book I really wanted to read because I enjoyed reading the first book so much and reading the dynamic between Gianna and Matteo. But while reading this book I found it to be not as interesting as I thought it would be. Gianna and Matteo's story was no where near as good as Aria and Luca's story. So I found myself becoming uninterested in their story and just skipped over to the end. But even that couldn't hold my interest. Needless to say this was not that good of a book to read.
