The Interview: New York & Los Angeles By: Sandi Lynn

 (N) Anti-relationship - check
       Dysfunctional family - check
Moved three thousand miles away from my dysfunctional family - check
       Dream job - check
Laurel Holloway is twenty-seven years old. She moved to Seattle four years go to pursue her dream job as a journalist for the Seattle Times and to get as far away from her dysfunctional family as possible. One of Laurel's assignments was to interview and write an article on two well-known hot and sexy bachelors who were self-made millionaires under the age of thirty-five. Women wanted to know why they were still single.
Millionaire bachelor number one lived in Los Angeles and millionaire bachelor number two lived in New York. Both men were damaged and very private and refused to be interviewed, so Laurel had to use her creative ways to change their minds. Laurel was getting those interviews one way or another. Little did Laurel know when she embarked on this adventure that these men would have a huge impact on her life, and one of them would change her world forever.

If you haven't figured it out already Sandi Lynn is one of my favorite authors. And The Interview was yet another hit from my favorite author. Going into The Interview I wasn't so sure how I would feel about this book because the last Sandi Lynn book I read wasn't my favorite but Sandi pulled through. I was once again back to not being able to put one of her books down and falling completely in love with the story.

Paper, Scissors, Rock (A Rock Games Novel) By: Nicole Goodin

(N) "This is Shelly Corbett, reporting to you live for HDN news, I'm outside 'The Jeff' nightclub where we have reports coming in left, right and center that serial womanizer, 'the world's gift to music' -Parker Sloan, has set his sights on a mystery redhead. Breaking footage has revealed the talented musician carrying the unknown woman across a crowded nightclub, and later kissing her passionately in the street. Could it be that Parker Sloan is finally off the market?"
When Parker sees something he wants, he goes for it. The moment he lays eyes on Charlotte, he has to have her. 'No' isn't a word Parker has heard for the past five years, and he doesn't have any intentions of starting now.
Charlotte Watson has already had one devastating brush with fame, and she swore that was enough to last her a lifetime.

I didn't mind reading Paper, Scissors, Rock. While it wasn't the best rocker story that I've ever it did manage to hold my interest for most of the story.  If it wasn't for the last few chapters in this story I wouldn't mind reading it again, the ending was just a little lagging for me personally.

Hers, Untamed By: Anna Adler

(N) Alyssa Cressfield always wanted a pet-a big, a sexy man who would look impressive on a leash. Now, she is finally ready to realize her dream. She visits a pet training center, intending to buy a trained pet. Instead she finds Jax, a fierce human-alien hybrid freshly caught from space, still untamed and unbroken. Alyssa has never encountered an untamed pet before. She can't resist temptation; she must have him.
On Silenia, it is customary for humans to keep other intelligent species as pets and sex toys. Alyssa is kind at heart, but she is a product of her society and therefore sees nothing wrong with keeping a man in a cage against his will. Jax, on the other hand, is a space pirate who now finds himself wearing a collar and being treated like property. He has no intention of turning tame and obedient, and a battle of wills ensues.

I'm going to be honest, I only started reading Hers, Untamed because it was free. When I first read the synopsis I thought for sure I was not going to like this book. And like I said I only decided to read this because it was free.
In order to truly enjoy this read you first have to get past a few things. For example, having a person or alien as a pet took a long time to get past and look over especially with how the 'pets' are treated. But once you get past all of that Hers Untamed wasn't actually a bad read.

Mateo Santiago (The Santiago Series #1) By: Katelgo Moncho

(N) Juniper Evigan is the daughter of one of the strongest Alphas alive, and that comes with a lot of pressure. When she brought shame to her family 5 years ago she was shunned. Now, at eighteen, she must decide to stay with her pack and live as an outcast, or be run off the land and never return.
Mateo Santiago hates life and everything in it. Living with a curse bestowed upon his ancestors has hardened him, and at the age of 23 he is the most feared Alpha in the world. When a rogue is brave enough to cross his lands, he plans to confront her - but is surprised by their intense connection. A connection he never believed possible and he was told he could never have.

What started out on a good note only went downhill as I kept reading. There was just so much going on and I get with any 500 page book a lot usually does happen. But in those cases whatever is going on is usually cohesive. Mateo Santiago had none of that, there was just too much going on all at once and I feel like this could have been at least two books instead of one. Needless to say this 500 page book really was a 500 page read.

Almost Never By: Amy Lamont

(N) Son of an aging rock star, Declan Cooper is considered royalty on the Warren College campus. When he meets petite freshman Harper Warden, he dismisses her as just another groupie. He realizes his mistake pretty quickly, but despite his near-obsession with the premed student, he keeps his distance. The last thing she needs is the notoriety that comes along with being connected to his infamous family.
Getting blown off by the sexy and popular King of Campus is the kiss of death for the new life Harper hoped to make of herself at college. Her only goal now is to get into medical school so she can leave her past, and Declan Cooper, far behind. But when the plans Harper made are threatened, Declan might be the only person who can help. All she has to do is trust him with a few small things-like her heart and her future.

Almost Never was another book that I've been waiting forever to read.  And maybe it's because I wait so long to read some of things books that I hype them up in my head or what. But this was yet another long awaited book that I could have done without. Almost Never started out on a semi good note but as the story went on things were just dragging until finally I just gave up and skipped ahead to the end.
