Just an Illusion - Encore (The Illusion Series #5) By: D. Kelly

      Besides the first two books in this series, Just an Illusion: Side A and Just an Illusion: Side B, I've enjoyed reading this series multiple times and Just an Illusion - Encore was no different. I loved reading Sawyer's point of view on what happened in Just an Illusion: EP and it was something else. Reading just how much Sawyer loved Mel, Amelia, when she was with his brother and how much it hurt him to feel this way made everything all the more real. But what I also enjoyed reading was what happens after Just an Illusion: EP ended and getting to see the relationship of Mel and Sawyer further down the road. And without giving too much away, it was nice to read the relationship between Sawyer and Nate. I do hope that this story doesn't end here, and while towards the end there were mentions of spin-off books for several of the characters in this series the one spin-off I want to read that wasn't mentioned was Nate's story.

The Wright Brother (Wright Series #1) By: K.A Linde

(N) She dated his brother. He didn't remember and she wishes she could forget.
       Emery had swore off the Wright family a long time ago. But when she returned home, Jensen Wright crashed into Emery's life with the confidence of a billionaire CEO and the sex appeal of a god. Even Emery couldn't resist their charged chemistry or the way he fit into Emery's life like a missing puzzle piece.
      Too bad he'd forgotten the one thing that could destroy Emery and Jensen.
      Because Jensen Wright doesn't share. Not with anyone. And if his brother finds out, this could all go down in flames.
      When it all was said and done, was he the Wright brother?
   
       I managed to read The Wright Brother all in one day, it was just a book that I could not put down. And while I did love reading this book I don't know if I would continue on with this series as I did not seem to find the other Wright siblings nearly as interesting.

Pucking Parker (Face-Off Legacies #1) By: Jillian Quinn

 (N) She's the coach's daughter. He's his dad's favorite player....And completely off-limits.
        The first time Bex met Preston Parker, she slammed face first into his wet, chiseled abs. In the men's locker room, of all places. She did the world's longest walk of shame in front of dozens of hockey players. As if that wasn't embarrassing enough, Mr. MVP gave Bex one of his killer smirks, right before dropping his towel in front of her. Just to prove a point. That no woman could resist him. Not even Bex.
      Now, Bex can't stop thinking about Parker and his lickable abs. He keeps finding ways to see her, touch her. And Bex finds herself wanted to break her dad's rules about his players. Rules Bex never breaks for a reason. Because falling for a player like Parker...was never part of the plan.

      I could not stop reading Pucking Parker, it was so hard putting this book down whether because I had to go to sleep or because I had to work. Either excuse was not good enough to get me to stop reading. While I don't necessarily know if I would read Pucking Parker again I definitely want to continue on with this series.

Heart of Stone (Gods & Monsters #4) By: Kelly Keaton

      I've finally got around to finishing this series and I'm disappointed to say that Heart of Stone wasn't nearly as interesting as the other books in the Gods and Monsters series. While I did manage to finish Heart of Stone in no time at all it wasn't nearly as satisfying as the other books in this series.

The Wicked Within (Gods & Monsters #3) By: Kelly Keaton

      Having temporarily defeated Athena, Ari races to break the gorgon curse that has plagued the women in her family for centuries. Her one lead sends her on quest for the Hands of Zeus, an ancient relic last seen in the charge of New 2's ruling elite, the Novem. But if there is one thing that Athena desires as much as revenge, it's the Hands of Zeus - and Athena always gets what she wants.
     Before either can locate the Hands, the statue goes missing, and a trail of blood follows those who once protected the relic's secrets. Ari knows that her city, her friends, Sebastian - her life - depend upon her finding the statue before Athena. And with rumors that an ancient power is on the rise, the statue may not be her only concern. 

      So I'm finally getting around the reading the next book in the Gods and Monsters series, and just like the two books before I couldn't put this book down. Even after all this time I still enjoy reading not only this book and this entire series.

Pulse (Rockstar #15) By: Anne Mercier

(N)  A Jucy and Sage short story
       Jesse and Lucy need a break. They look and feel like cast members from The Walking Dead, and I'm not talking about the human. It's only an overnight break, but it's exactly what they need.
       Cage and Sera attend a charity function and run into an unwelcome enemy. They spend a special night together before they get to work on a plan of how to keep one of their own safe.

      While Pulse wasn't the book I have been waiting for in the Rockstar series, it was actually one of the more enjoyable books I've read from this series in a while.  I think this is because Pulse focused on my two favorite couples Sera and Cage and Lucy and Jesse. The other thing I like about this story was the sneak peak of Refrain, the sixteenth book in the Rockstar series. Reading this sneak peak only made me more anticipated to read Ethan and Lincoln's story. I hope by the time Refrain is finally released that the long wait and the hype were all worth it.
     My only compliant for this story is that I wish it was longer and that we got to see a bit more of Lucy and Jesse's kids.
