Ryan's Bed By: Tijan

(N) The fist night Mackenzie crawled into Ryan Jensen's bed it was an accident. She barley knew him. She thought it was his sister's bed - her room. It only took Mackenzie a few seconds to realize her error, and she should've left. But she didn't. She didn't jump out. She didn't get embarrassed. She relaxed. And that night, in that moment, it was the only thing she craved.
Mackenzie asked to stay. He let her, and she slept.
The truth, Mackenzie never wanted to leave his bed. If she could've stayed forever, she would have. Ryan became her sanctuary.
Because - four hours earlier - Mackenzie's twin sister killed herself.

One of the things I like most about Ryan's Bed us how different it was from Tijan's other books. And even then I found myself unable to put this book down. This is one of the reasons why I love reading Tijan's book because she just proved that even when writing books so completely different than her others she can still keep me just as captivated.

Hotshot (Bennett Brothers #1) By: Ahren Sanders

(N) Bizzy has always loved Crenshaw Bennett, in fact she doesn't remember a time when she didn't love Shaw. She tried to deny it, but her feelings grew deeper. Bizzy thought Shaw could never love her the way she loved him.
She was wrong--outrageously, deliriously, and beautifully wrong.
Suddenly, Shaw was hers. Loyal, devoted, and the most loving man on this Earth. Together, they created an explosion of fiery passion, devotion, and chemistry Bizzy never knew possible. All of her dreams are within reach, but Bizzy should have known it was too good to be true.
The past always catching up to you, and Bizzy is left staring at her worst nightmare. Faced with the unthinkable, Bizzy is forced to choose between the man she loves and a past she cannot change.

What started out as a good read didn't necessarily stay that way. When I first started reading Hotshot I was interested but as the story went on I began to lose interest. Hotshot just couldn't hold my focus while I was reading and none of the characters interested me enough to want to continue on with this series.

First to Fall (Triplets #1) By: Stacy Lane

(N) Triplets. It has two meanings in the city of Tampa. The brothers and the bar.
Brooks Labelle spent his entire life with one ambition: Hockey. All things hockey, which is why he has settle in Tampa to ride out the rest of his career and co-owner of a hockey bar with his brothers. To his parents' dismay, none of them have settled down romantically. Brooks never plans to either, despite his dad attempting to set him up with another "nice girl." He must be desperate if he's picking random women among the crowd at Brook's games and trying to persuade them with a meet-and-greet.
But this one turns down the offer...
Jo Harper has fallen for a hockey player, and she doesn't even like hockey. A homebody to the extreme, all it took was one night out of her anti-social life to tailspin into celebrities and social media scandals. Though, scandal is a stretch when put into terms about a dead ex. She only speaks to Brooks by happenstance. Although, it's more sassing than actual talking. Which he likes and demonstrated every opportunity he can. She's become the girl friend - with a space, as Brooks likes to say - and he's more than her timid self can handle.
Just friends never work when there is an attraction. It's a tried and true failure. Their relationship sparks, but like opposite charges in the clouds, they've accumulated a fierce lightning storm. Jo loves a good rainy day, but Brooks might as well be holding a steel rod.
He wants more, but without her expecting too much. She's done with settling for men who won't share all of themselves with her.
The last thing Brooks expected was to be the first brother to fall.

When I first started reading First to Fall I wasn't quite sure what to expect and I surprisingly found myself enjoying this book, for the most part at least. I did skip through some parts of the story but even then I think I do want to continue on with this series. I think more for the characters themselves more than the story as a whole.

Dear Jane By: Kendall Ryan

(N) Wes broke Jane's heart ten years ago and left town.
Jane hate Wes, and rightly so. It doesn't matter that the rest of the country loves Wes, that he's a starting quarterback with a multimillion-dollar contract. Because when Wes looks in the mirror, all he sees is a failure who was too young - and too afraid - to fight for what he wanted.
Wes isn't that guy anymore, and all he needs is one shot to convince her.

Wes has no idea what happened with Jane after he left. And now ten years later Jane's supposed to work alongside him life he doesn't have this huge, messy history. But she's older now, wiser, and won't let anything stand in her way of doing a good job for this league. Not even one overpaid, arrogant player who think they're going to kiss and make-up.
New flash, Wes: Jane is over you.

I started reading Dear Jane weeks ago and only made it about half way through before I quit reading. Every time I thought about going back to Dear Jane I found another book that I wanted to read more instead. I finally gave in and tried to start picking up where I left off the last time I read. But I only made it a few chapters before I gave up. I took Dear Jane off of my library and have no plans to read it again.

Kane's Mate (Armageddon Mates #1) By: Hazel Gower

(N) Faith York is human, but has psychic powers, which is a little odd since neither of her parents have paranormal abilities. Thankfully, the werewolf family who lived around the corner helped Faith learn to control her powers. She instantly fell in love with the entire family, but especially Kane, the oldest son who is next in line to be Alpha. Unfortunately, Kane doesn't see Faith the same way she sees him. Heartbroken, Faith leaves town.
When Faith returns from two years overseas, her parents throw her a welcome home party. She is shocked when Kane kidnaps her from the party and mate marks her. Now Faith is struggling with the choice of whether to leave again and live a normal life - a life she yearns for - or stay with the man she's always dreamed of and live a supernatural life.
To complicate the matter further, Faith's psychic powers intensify and she begins to have visions of an upcoming demon Armageddon. Then she learns she was switched at birth, and has a half-brother...who is half-demon.
Faith must be stronger than she ever believed possible, and maybe in the process, she can trust herself to give Kane another chance.

I always like reading a good paranormal/shifter book and while I wouldn't say that Kane's Mate was the best book that I've read, I did enjoy reading it. For the most part Kane's Mate kept me interested throughout my reading and I would want to read it again. But I don't know if I would want to continue on with this series, as each book in this series focuses on a different mate pairing and no other characters caught my attention enough to want to read their stories.

Jamieson Finn (Redemption #3) By: Sandi Lynn

(N) Jamieson Flinn, job title: Neurosurgeon.
Jamieson's job is his life. It's the only thing that keeps him sane. With his work, there is no time for a personal life, except for the occasional fling and one-night stands, which is just the way he likes it. He has rules: no commitment and no strings. Break those rules and they'll never see each other again. Jamieson's life is complicated and it's something he's not willing to share with anyone. Jamieson saves lives for a living and that has to be his number one priority. Then Grace Harper walked into his life and Jamieson's whole world started to crumble. She was beautiful, smart, and exactly what Jamieson didn't need.

Grace Harper, job title: Trauma Surgeon.
Grace's job is her life, leaving very little time for anything else. But Grace knew that when she chose her profession and she was okay with that. Then she met a man who understood and chose to stay by her side, until he betrayed Grace with the ultimate lie. So she ran away from New York and took a job in Los Angeles, the one place that held the most traumatic memories for Grace twenty years ago. The one place that decided her fate. Grace was making a fresh start and any trust she had in men was gone. She would never make that mistake again. She saves lives for a living and that has to be Grace's number one priority. Then she met Jamieson Finn. He was sexy, smart, arrogant and exactly what Grace didn't need in her life.

I love reading stories by Sandi Lynn because more often than not I find myself unable to put her books down and Jamieson Finn was no different. There was never really any dull moment while reading Jamieson Finn and at no point in time did I want this story to end. This is defiantly a book I would recommend to others and one I will be reading again.
