(N) When Eadlyn was first told that she would be holding her own Selection she didn't believe that there was any way that she would fall in love with one or any of her thirty-five suitors. She spent the first few weeks of the competition just counting down the days until she could send them all home.
As the selection continues Eadlyn still finds herself unsure on if she'll find the same fairytale ending that her parents had twenty years ago. But as she becomes more and more forced into the spotlight Eadlyn begins to realize that she doesn't want to be in the spotlight alone. And as more time goes on a surprising suitor finds his way into her heart and soon Eadlyn must make an impossible choice between what she must do and what she wants to do. A choice Eadlyn never thought that she would have to make.
In the end I was pretty surprised with Eadlyn's choice of who she wanted to be her husband. I had this whole idea that it would be one person throughout the first book and then with this book everything completely changed and it turned out to be someone completely different, someone unexpected. I'll give the author props here for doing the unexpected but overall I still have the say that the original story, The Selection, was a better story.
