Kadence (Rockstar Series #7) By: Anne Mercier

(N) When bass guitarist Jace Warner receives an urgent message from his high school sweetheart to come home, the rocker drops what he's doing and immediately go to her. When he gets there Jace finds out his first love, the girl who stole his heart is dying from cancer but that isn't the biggest news of all. The reason she broke his heart was so Jace could go and live out his dream and not be forced to stay behind with her and the daughter he never knew he had. Now Jace is all this little girl really has left.
After bonding with Kadence, his six year old daughter Jace can't help but try and be the best father he can for her daughter. But that is easier said than done when social worker Summer Stephens doesn't deem Jace's rockstar lifestyle fit for parenting. Summer believes all the stereotypes about rockstars, that their lives are all about sex, drugs, and rock & roll.
Now it's up to Jace to convince Summer that Kadence is right where she belongs, at home with Jace at CFD. Jace is facing his fierces battle yet, trying to prove there's room in his life for music and the daughter he wants to share it all with.

There are only a few times or instances where I will just buy a book as soon as it comes out without even reading the sample first, and Anne Mercier's Rockstar series is one of those times. And yet again she did not disappoint, once I started reading Kadence I just could not put this book down. If you haven't started reading this series yet then I suggest you start.
