The two push and pull, slowly crumbling their walls, seemingly brought together by fate, because the turmoil that haunts theirs pasts is interlinked in undeniable ways.

      I've read Beautifully Damaged multiple times before and still find myself unable to put it down. Beautifully Damaged is a bit darker than some of the other books that I've read before but there's still just something about it. But that darkness does get to you, so much so that I found myself wondering why I was reading a book like this in the dark before bed, and yet I couldn't get myself to put it down. While this book is dark, it's dark without taking things too far. If this is something you can deal with then I suggest giving Beautifully Damaged a read.

Darker By: E.L James

 (N) Darker is the fifth book in the Fifty Shades of Grey series, this book is told from Christian's point of view in what happened in Fifty Shades Darker. By this point you should have already read the other books in this series so I won't go into detail about what occurred in this book just what I thought about it.
      I find I like reading Christian's point of view in these stories maybe a bit more than reading Ana's point of view. With these books you really get to know Christian and see a side of him that we weren't able to see before. For example, I love reading his flashbacks scenes to when he was a child and living with the Greys. You read just how much the Greys have affected him and in these scenes you see just how much he cares for the Greys even when he couldn't always show it.
      Darker makes you love Christian even more and I can't wait to read Freed.

Yuri: Greek. Biker. Billionaire By: Marian Tee

It gave Kali hope that when they did meet again, he would remember his promise and he would keep it.
      He would take one look at Kali and he wouldn't mind that she wasn't...okay. He wouldn't mind that she wasn't...normal. If he was everything Kali prayed he would be, he'd take one look at Kali and love her, like he had promised.
      Yuri and Kali met when she was just fourteen years old when her grandmother arranges for Kali to be married to Yuri in exchange for a favor. Now four years later they meet again.

       When I first started reading Yuri, I didn't know exactly what to expect. But what I did know was so far I wasn't liking what I was reading. But I powered through it and continued on reading, and I'm glad I did because once I started reading, really reading I couldn't stop.

Bad Habit (Bad Love Book #1) By: Charleigh Rose

She was just a kid, nothing more but elbows and knees, but she was the most beautiful creature Asher had ever seen. But they could never be together. He was too old and she was too off limits. She was too good and he was too fucked up. Eventually, the temptation became too much too resist. Asher risked everything for a kiss and she betrayed him. Three years have passed and he's forced to see her again, but now she's all grown up.
        She's his best friend's baby sister. His downfall. He hates her for what she did but she's always been his drug of choice.

       When I started reading Bad Habit, I couldn't stop reading and didn't want to put it down. But then things started to change as I got closer to the end. The story seemed to go by slower and I began to lose interest in what I was reading. I finished reading Bad Habit but by the end of it I wasn't so impressed anymore.

Dirty Filthy Rich Men (Dirty Duet #1) By: Laurelin Paige

Sabrina knew what she wanted - knew who she wanted - until one night, their world tried to bite her back and Donovan saved her. Donovan saved Sabrina, and then Weston finally noticed her, and Sabrina finally got to learn what it was like to be in their world.
      And then what it was like to lose it.
      Ten years later, Sabrina's found her way back. Back into their world and back to him. This time, she's ready. Sabrina's been down this road before, and knows all the dirty, filthy ways Donovan will try and wreck her. But it's hard to resist. Especially when she knows how much she'll like it.

      Dirty Filthy Rich Men has been on my to-read list for a while now and I finally got the chance to read it and I was pleasantly surprised with how much I enjoyed it. I could not seem to put Dirty Filthy Rich Men down. I knew I wanted to read this book based on just the prequel alone but I didn't know how much I would enjoy it until after I started reading.

The Dark Ones By: Rachel Van Dyken

       When I began to read The Dark One I didn't have high hopes for it, I didn't think that I would like reading this book. I only ended up reading The Dark Ones because I kept seeing it come up on my recommended list and finally just gave into the whole thing and downloaded the book. And I have to say that I'm glad I did give in and give this book a chance. Going just off of the synopsis I would have said this was a book to skip over but after actually reading, I have to say there's just so much more to this book than what the synopsis gives. I thought this story was going to be about one thing but it was actually something different. If you're like me and thought this wasn't a book worth reading I'd say give it a try anyways.

Filthy Beautiful Love (Filthy Beautiful Lies #2) By: Kendall Ryan

       It took a while but I finally got around to reading Filthy Beautiful Lies. And although it did take a some time to start reading I'm glad I did read Filthy Beautiful Lies. While it wasn't as good as it predecessor I still found myself enjoying Filthy Beautiful Lies. If you haven't read the Filthy Beautiful Lies series I suggest you give it a read.

The Proposal (The Proposition #2) By: Katie Ashley

Pesh wants nothing more than to win Emma's heart, but she is not sure she's able to give it.

I couldn't get enough of reading The Proposition so when it came time to read The Proposal again I couldn't want. But sadly, The Proposal did not leave up to its predecessor, I just couldn't seem to get into this book.

When Emma spurns his advances at the company Christmas party, he's determined to have her no matter what it takes. After Aidan learns of Emma's predicament, he is quick to offer a proposition that will benefit them both. He will father Emma's child, but she must conceive it with him naturally. Not one for hook-ups or casual sex, Emma is reluctant to take Aidan up on his offer, but his charm, coupled with her intense desire for motherhood, wins out.
      Soon their baby-making sessions become more than just physical. Aidan can't seem to walk away from her while Emma begins to wonder if Aidan could be the one. But can Aidan leave his past behind to become the man Emma needs him to be?

      Even after reading The Proposition numerous times before I still couldn't seem to put this book down. It's always nice when you pick up a book after having not read it for a while and it's still just as good as you remembered it being. 

Mack Daddy By: Penelope Ward

(N) They called him Mack Daddy. No, seriously, his name was Mack. Short for Mackenzie. Thus, the nickname. Perfect, right?
       He was perfect. The perfect physical male specimen.
       At the private school where Francesca teaches, Mack Morrison is the only man around a sea of women.
       Everyone wanted a piece of the hot, single father of the sweet little boy.
       Seeing all these women fawn over him, turned Francesca into a woman she didn't recognize, someone riddled with jealously, because they didn't know that to her, he was much more.
       They didn't know about the past Francesca and Mack shared.
       Mack chose Francesca's school for his son on purpose, because Mack and Francesca have some unfinished business.
       Francesca's still intensely attracted to Mack. She's tried to resist him, immersing herself further into a relationship with someone else just to protect her heart. Not to mention getting involved with a parent was strictly against school rules. But seeing Mack day in and day out was breaking her down. And soon she just might be breaking all the rules.

      From the synopsis of Mack Daddy I didn't think that I would like this book. But I've read and enjoyed a few books by Penelope Ward before so I thought that I would give this book a read. To say I was surprised was an understatement. Once I started reading I couldn't stop, I just couldn't seem to want to put Mack Daddy down. And that's how it went for most of the story, with me repeatedly telling myself one more chapter, one more chapter, even when I knew I should be putting the book down. But then as I got towards the end, that's when the book started to go downhill for me. That's not to say the story wasn't still good, it just wasn't as good as the story up until that point. In all certainty I cannot say for sure if this is a book I would recommend or not.

Breaking Hollywood By: Samantha Towle

 (N) It wasn't supposed to be like this. Ava wasn't supposed to be boyfriendless, homeless, and jobless at twenty-eight years old. And she most definitely wasn't supposed to hit Hollywood's resident bad boy Gabriel Evans with her car breaking his foot.
     Now Ava's guilt and homelessness have her living in his apartment, taking care of him, while he's incapacitated.
     Living with the hottest guy in Hollywood, who she's had a crush on forever, doesn't sound like a chore, right?
     Wrong. Gabriel Evans is a crude, rude asshole who drinks way too much and smokes like a chimney. The sooner she gets herself a new place and when Gabriel's foot is all healed, she's out of there. So why does she keep forgetting to check the classified? And why does she keep getting flustered when she sees him shirtless?
     Breaking Hollywood wasn't part of the pain, but neither was falling in love with him.

     This was yet another hit for Samantha Towle, I could not seem to put Breaking Hollywood down. I managed to finished this book in no time at all and that was all due to Towle's writing. She just has this way to writing that gets you invested in the reading and once you start, you don't want to stop till it's over. If you haven't read Breaking Hollywood yet, then I suggest you do. 

On A Tuesday By: Whitney G.

(N) They met on a Tuesday. Became best friends, then lovers, on a Tuesday. And it all fell apart on a Tuesday...
      For Grayson, Charlotte Taylor already has three automatic strikes: 1) She hates him. She also claims that he's a "domineering jerk with a huge, overbearing ego." 2) She takes their mandatory tutoring sessions way too seriously.  3) She's sexy as hell...And a virgin.
     These were her strikes before their study sessions started lasting longer and longer than they were supposed to. Until one innocent kiss became a hundred dirty ones, and until she became the first woman Greyson ever fell hard for.
      Their future after college was supposed to be set: Professional football for him and law school for her. But she left him at the end of the semester with no explanation and then she completely disappeared from his life.
      Until tonight.
      They met on a Tuesday. Became everything, then nothing on a Tuesday. And now seven years later they meet again on a Tuesday...

      Going into this I wasn't exactly sure what to expect from Whitney G. From the sample I read of On A Tuesday I thought I would like this book enough to give it a read but not to the extent to which I do. I could not seem to put this book down and finished it in no time at all. That's when I knew this would be a book that I would definitely read again and one I recommend others read.

The Lost One (Lost Series #1) By: Liz Lovelock

(N) Melodi White was just like every other girl, but then one day her life was ripped to shreds by her sister's heartless boyfriend. It's been three years since Abby was taken from her life. To Melodi, Abby wasn't just her sister, she was her twin, and her best friend.

One night, while out on the town, Melodi finds herself wrapped in the arms of a gorgeous, drop-dead sexy man, Corban. He literally swept Melodi off her feet, took her breathe away with a single kiss and left her wanting more, a feeling that was completely alien to her.
      Corban Andrews, CEO of Case Construction is wealthy, sexy and ravishing and is set to make Melodi wold come undone. Hesitantly, she puts her trust in him.
      When a familiar face from her past reappears, it might push her so far into the darkness, Corban and Melodi may not survive.

       The Lost One was an okay book, one that was good enough to finish reading but not good enough for me to want to continue on with this series. I just couldn't seem to get into this book enough to want to find out what happened next in the series.

Let's Get Textual By: Teagan Hunter

(N) A wrong number is supposed to be just that -  a wrong number, delete and done. Do not continue to text and definitely do not flirt back. A wrong number shouldn't be the first person on your mind in the morning, or the last at night...and you're definitely not supposed to talk them into buying a baby goat. Because that would be weird.
       When Zach Hastings and Delia get into a wrong-number mix-up, they don't follow the rules. The two keep flirting and texting, because he's funny and perfectly nerdy and a wonderful distraction.
        Delia wasn't looking for love and Zach definitely had the wrong number. But maybe...maybe he's the right guy.

      Let's Get Textual was a surprising read, it didn't expect to enjoy it as much as I did. And for the most part I did enjoy reading this book but with that being said, it seemed as the book went on everything just seemed to go a little downhill. And I didn't find myself as interested as I once was.

Heartless (An Enemies To Lovers Novel #1) By: Michelle Horst

(N) She was warned that Carter Hayes is heartless. He's part of the screw crew, he'll just use you and leave you. He's ruthless and always gets what he wants. You'll always be able to find him just look for the long trail of broken hearts and dreamy signs and there he'll be. Hot as sin, Carter.
       Della doesn't have time to fall head over heels for any guy. Besides, he'd never notice someone like her. Della has a three year plan. Get through college, get a job, and get her sister out of the hell hole Della left her in. These three things are the only things that Della has time for.
       That is until Della overhears of the betting pool the guys have started. Whoever screws her first gets the money. The moment Carter looks at her, she knows it's only because of the bet. Their first kiss was just for show and nothing more. and Della hates her heart for falling for Carter's irresistible charms. All it looks is one foolish moment for Della to realize she just let him have four hundred dollars. And it takes all she has to lie to herself and pretend that Carter was just one last screw before leaving for college. Four years later she's finally ready to take the final step in her plan to save her sister and in walks guess who.

         I wasn't expecting to like Heartless at all. When I first read the sample to Heartless I thought that it seemed interesting enough. I just never realized how interested I would actually be in it. I could not seem to put this book down once I started reading it. This was a nice surprise for me because lately I haven't been reading the most interesting books and didn't expect this one to be any different. So the fact that I had this book I could not seem to stop reading was a nice treat.

Hate to Love You By:Tijan

(N) Kennedy had three rules. Rule #1 No hot guys. It might sound ridiculous and it kind of was but college was going to be her sanctuary. College would be when Kennedy would be able to start over. Where the whispers, the rumors, and the jealousy she dealt with all through high school would all be gone. In college no one would know who Kennedy was. 
       Rule #2 No Drama. She'll major in pre-law, make a few loyal friends and everything would be easy-breezy. No one was going to use or hurt Kennedy. She wouldn't let them.
       Rule #3 New Year. New place. New Kennedy.
       These are the three rules Kennedy was determined to live by while in college. But all that went out the window all because of Shay Coleman. Football captain and quarterback, he was the big man on campus. The cocky guy in her political science class with a smirk.
      Kennedy hates him on sight...and he was about to break all of her rules. 

      Here's to another hit for Tijan. I yet again found myself addicted to another one of Tijan's books. I could not seem to put Hate to Love You down even when I had to, like when I needed to catch some sleep or when I needed to head out in the morning for work. Those times in between when I could read again seem so far between and once I finally was able to start reading again I couldn't seem to stop. If you haven't read Hate to Love You yet then I suggest that you do.

Steal My Breath By: Nina Levine

(N) To Callie, Luke Hardy is bossy as fuck. Moody too. But she's also had a thing for him since the two first met. Callie spends half her time arguing with Luke and the other half drooling over him. And now she's screwed all because she slept with Luke and decided that she wanted a whole lot more than just sex. Only problem is, Luke has a secret she never knew, the kind of secret that messed everything up.
     For Luke, Callie St James likes to argue with him over everything. It irritates the hell out of him. Bur she also turns him on like no other woman ever has. There's only one problem with that, he can't date her. And now he's gone and screwed it all up by sleeping with her.

     When I first read the sample for Steal My Breath I just knew that this was a book that I could really get into. But somewhere also the line things changed and I found myself not caring about the story as much as I probably should be. Don't get me wrong I still finished the book and read through it all, but that was with me skimming through some pages and not really giving the book as my attention as I continued on with the story. In the end this book was just not for me.

Dealing with day to day life without his heart is hard, especially with the darkness threatening to consume him, When MC President, Talon, informs him that Josie's in trouble, he's determined to make sure he's there to protect her. Only, he won't be doing it alone.
       Eli "Billy the Kid" Walker has never experienced love, not even from those who should have cared the most. Only Josie and Caden have ever come close to infiltrating his hardened heart. With Josie gone, he pushes Caden away, unwilling to take a risk, even if it's something he wants.
       
      I've read a few books by Lila Rose before, with those books either involving bikers or menage relationships. So going into The Secret's Out I was expecting it to be something along the lines of those books. But it turns out I was wrong, The Secret's Out was different and it was not a difference I enjoyed. I just couldn't seem to enjoy The Secret's Out as much as Lila Rose's other books. And while I did finish The Secret's Out I can't say that this is a book I would either read again or recommend.

Four Week Fiance By: Helen Cooper

(N) What if the hottest man on earth made you an offer you couldn't refuse? The offer of a lifetime, one that could make you blush as he offered you whatever you wanted to make you accept. An offer so spicy, so naughty, so scandalous, that you couldn't even want to tell your best friend.
      There are three things you should know. His name is TJ Walker. He's twenty-eight, hot as can be and he's her brother's best friend. TJ asked Mila to be his fake fiance for four weeks but she's hoping to make the engagement real.
     There are so many things that could go wrong with accepting to be TJ"s four week fiance, but there's also so much that could go right.
 
      I've had Four Week Fiance is my pile of books to read for a while now but it wasn't until now that I finally broke down and started reading. And I'm not even the least disappointed that I waited so long before reading this book. Four Week Fiance was just not for me I tried giving it a read but I just could not get myself to get into this book. And I finally gave up reading before I even made a dent in this book. Needless to say, this book was just not for me.

Coming Up for Air By: Miranda Kenneally

(N) Maggie's whole life revolves around swimming. She spends most of her time and effort spent on swimming. Maggie's not only striving to earn college scholarships but she's also training to qualify for the Olympics. It helps that her best friend Levi is also on the team and cheers her on. But Levi's already earned an Olympic tryout, so Maggie feels even more pressure to succeed. And it's not until Maggie's away on a college visit that she realizes how much of the of the "typical" high school experience she's missed out on by spending all her time on the pool.
      Not one to shy away from a challenge, Maggie decides to squeeze the most out of her senior year. First things first, make out with a guy. Maggie's decided that the perfect person to make out with, the one who can teach her how to make out is, her best friend Levi. After all they already spend a lot of time together. But as Maggie slowly starts to uncover her feelings for Levi, she realizes that there could be more to life than being in the pool.
   
     I've read a few books from Miranda Kenneally before but Coming Up For Air is the first one that I've done a review on. Coming Up For Air is more of a young adult book but with that being said I actually still enjoyed reading it. Coming Up For Air did take a bit of time before things started to get interesting but once it did I could not seem to put it down.

Break Me Slowly (The Shattered Series) By: Joya Ryan

       This wasn't the first time that I have read Break Me Slowly and just like all the other times before I could not seem to put this book down. Break Me Slowly is just one of those books that no matter how many times you read you just cannot put down. If you haven't read Break Me Slowly yet then I suggest you do.

       If you paid any attention to any of my recent posts and their titles then you know that I didn't post about the second book in this series. There wasn't any type of error or mistake, I didn't read the second book in The Illusion Series, I just couldn't get myself to spend the money to read it.
         Once I finished reading Just an Illusion Part One I was unsure if I wanted to continue with the series because I wasn't as into it as I should be to continue on. What that being said, I did want to know what happened next so I read the samples for both Just an Illusion Part Two and Just an Illusion EP. Part Two didn't hold any interest for me in the least bit.
          But while I was reading the sample for EP that itself had me in tears so I knew I had to read this one. Skipping a book in a continuous series is never really a good thing to do because you end up missing a lot of key information and events but because Part Two didn't hold any interest for me at all I just skipped it and went straight to EP after reading Part One, and I'm glad I did. While I did miss all the things that happened in Part Two it didn't feel the least bit awkward or weird skipping a whole book in the series.
     Throughout my reading of Just an Illusion EP I found myself tearing up or even crying during the first half of the story and even during some parts of the second half. Since finished EP I don't have any regrets about not reading Part Two. And as much as I didn't like reading Part One, that's as much as I liked reading EP.

Just An Illusion: Side A (The Illusion Series #1) By: D. Kelly

      When I started reading Just an Illusion Part One I just could not seem to put it down. But somewhere along the way I found myself growing bored with the story. And that's one of the worst things that could happen when you start out reading a book and liking it, is finding yourself slowly disliking what started out on such a good note. Another thing that I didn't like was that the chapters were just so long. It seemed like I was waiting forever for a chapter to end so that I could either stop for the day or even just stop reading for the time being. Either way I really wanted to like this book but there just came a point where I just wanted to get through with this book and leave it at that.

The Terms: Part Two (The Terms Duet #2) By: Ruby Rowe

(N) Camilla longed to believe that her bond with Ellis was impenetrable, but in reality, she held onto secrets that could blow their new relationship wide open. Would he be able to understand that they were both betrayed by Ellis' brother or would he just take his anger out on the only one he could, on the one who was still alive?
      Once Sasha left rehab the thought of living alone during recovery was a scary thought, but being told that she was going to be living with Ellis' attractive cousin instead of going back to her apartment was terrifying. While was living with Camilla, her sister ran a tight ship, but she wasn't nearly as intimidating as Greyson and the terms he laid out for Sasha. But the terms weren't what affected Sasha the most, it was living with Greyson, the looks they share and the not so innocent touches. Greyson Burke saw something in Sasha that she was struggling with in herself.
 
      While The Terms Part One focuses solely on Camilla and Ellis and their relationship, The Terms Part Two was a little different. Not only was Part Two about Camilla and Ellis but it was also about Sasha, Camilla's sister and Greyson, Ellis' cousin.
      With Part One ending on a cliffhanger I could not wait to read Part Two to see what happened next. When I started reading Part Two I didn't know that this story was going to be told from four different people's point of views until Sasha came back into the picture. Originally I thought the Sasha-Greyson relationship would be it's own book story but instead Part Two was about both sets of relationships, each being told in the span of one story. And because of this double whammy I couldn't enjoy The Terms Part Two as much as I wanted to. Part One was such a good read but Part Two was a bit of a let down. I just found the four points of views to be a bit to much for a series that started out with just two people telling the story.

The Terms: Part One (The Terms Duet #1) By: Ruby Rowe

      In return to agreeing to Ellis' terms, he agrees not to rip Liam away from Camilla. He also offers them both financial security and a life of luxury. To Ellis, this is a generous offer. And would have been simple too, had she not reminded him of the lady in red. The one who has been haunting Ellis' dreams at night. Camilla's hazel eyes were a mirror image and her sweetness, was more than an acquaintance to Ellis' subconscious.
      Ellis is a hacker, and the internet was his best friend, sharing every secret that he wishes to unearth. This is what he chose to believe until an unfathomable truth revealed itself in a different way.

     The Terms Part One, was a good read. I found myself at times not wanting to put it down and then with a cliffhanger ending I couldn't wait to read this next book in this series. If The Terms Part One interests you then I say give it a read.

Luke: The Complete Series By: Cassia Leo

(N) Luke Maxwell is the searing hot billionaire CEO of Maxwell Computers. Brina Kingston is the corporate spy sent to steal Luke's latest invention. Brina is able to successfully work her way into the position of Luke's executive assistant and it's not long before she also finds herself in his bed. But Brina soon begins start falling for Luke and before long Brina realizes she's not only risking the most important assignment of her career but also her family's security. And that is not something that Brina can allow, something she won't allow. But saying that she will resist the charms of the hottest tech billionaire in America and actually doing so are two completely different things.
     I have read Luke multiple times now and still manage to fall in love with it with each read. Luke might seem like a long read but you actually read through it rather quickly. If you haven't given Luke a read then I say give it a try.

       After reading Playing the Millionaire I have to say I'm a little disappointed with Sandi Lynn. I for the most part tend to enjoy reading her books, but this was just did not do it for me. I was ready for the book to be over before I was even halfway through it. And by the time I got to the end I was basically just skimming through the pages all to see how this story would end.  As much as I hate to say it, I cannot recommend giving this a read.

Filthy Beautiful Lies (Filthy Beautiful Lies #1) By: Kendall Ryan

       Colton Drake had no idea why Sophie was auctioning off her virginity for a cool mill. Regardless, he's now the proud new owner of a perfectly intact hymen. Drake has certain tastes, certain sexual needs and those are something that Drake doesn't think a virgin can give him, at least not without training and patience - two things which Drake lacks.
     
      Filthy Beautiful Lies was a nice surprise. I wasn't expecting much going into this book but I was pleasantly surprised with just how much I actually enjoyed reading it. I could not seem to put Filthy Beautiful Lies down and before I knew it I was already halfway through the book. And then the ending just seemed to come out of nowhere. I cannot wait to read what happens next.

Holding Out (Hawks MC Club #1) By: Lila Rose

She has a daughter that apparently knows-it-all and a best friend that could possibly have the mouth of Satan, but she's been with her through hell and back. Then there's the hunk'a'licious biker neighbor finally showing interest in her. If only she wasn't about to face the next obstacle in her life, the one she ran from six years ago: her ex-husband.
      Talon Marcus is the president of the Hawks Motorcycle Club. For two years, he's had his eye on his quiet, reclusive, yet sassy, neighbor Zara. Finally, he has the chance to claim her as his woman.
       Just when Zara's past catches up with her, she'll need, not only Talon's protection, but the help from his biker brothers. Now if only she'd stop fighting him along the way.
 
      I am so not usually one to read a MC book or to even enjoyed it when I do read them every now and then. But with Holding Out, this was something completely different. I could not seem to want to put it down and I think a lot of that had to do with the fact that while this is a MC series it didn't focus on that so much. It wasn't so much having to deal with the club business and MC life as it was about Zara and Talon, and that is an MC book that I don't mind reading. One that focuses more on the two individuals with a little bit of MC in between.
     I think that you should really give Holding Out a read.

Her Mates (Wolf Trials #1) By: Tamara White

(N) Dani has been hidden from the packs all her life for fear of being found and killed by the same person that murdered her mother but now it's time to reclaim her title.
       As the future Alpha Queen, Dani must compete in the trials with her mates to prove she's worthy to rule her people. She must choose the mate who will be right to lead alongside her but little does she know, Dani's choice will change her whole world.

       Before reading Her Mates I didn't expect much from this book so I was pleasantly surprised when I found myself enjoying this read. Her Mates was nothing like how I expected it to be and I think that's why I was able to enjoy it so much. 

Immortal Unchained (Argeneau #25) By: Lynsay Sands

(N) Ever since Domitian Argenis recognized Sarita as his life mate, he's been waiting for the perfect moment to claim her. Those fantasies did not include him being chained to a table in a secret lab or both of them being held hostage by a mad scientist. Somehow, they have to escape.
     Sarita has seen some crazy things as a cop, but nothing to rival Domitian. A vampire, never in her wildest dreams could she even fathom that vampires existed but here one is right in front of her. He has all the classic signs of a vampire, healing abilities, incredible powers, and that's including the mind blowing connects that they seem to have for one another. Now, not only do they have to save each other, but other innocent lives are at stake. Failure is not an option, Domitian has only just got the chance to be with Sarita and Sarita has a chance at an eternity of happiness.  
 
      I guess I should start by saying this this book took me forever to read. I could not seem to get into Immortal Unchained for anything but because I enjoy reading this series and because this one seemed like an important book in the series to read I powered through it until I got to the end. And sadly, it didn't get any better as time went on.
     It might be good to read Immortal Unchained if you really want to find out more about why and how so many immortals have been disappearing but other than that it might be best to just skip it.

Juked (Texas Mutiny #1) By: M.E. Carter

     Quincy has baggage and lots of it. After a tragic accident spins her world on its axis, she finds herself as a single mother, raising her newborn nephew, one she never knew she had. Between parenthood, her full-time job, and dealing with the suffocating grief of losing her sister. Everyday is a struggle for Quincy.
      When Daniel and Quincy begin to cross paths unexpectedly and often, an unlikely friendship develops and soon starts to evolve into something more. Feelings change, lines are crossed, and what happens next will surprise them both.

      Going into this I didn't have much expectations for Juked mostly because it has been in my to-read list for song long and I just wanted to read it to get it over with. With that being said I found Juked to be a surprisingly good read. I didn't expect to get as into it as I did and soon found myself not wanting to put it down.

Fallen Crest Forever (Fallen Crest #7) By: Tijan

(N) Mason Kade is the dream. He's the promise, he is forever. Mason is offering something that so many would fantasize about and fight for and it's not that Same doesn't want it, or him, or to two of them forever. But, how can she say yes when she's never seen it work before? But then how can she say no to someone who already gave her happily ever after?

      I still cannot believe that with Fallen Crest Forever, the Fallen Crest series is officially coming to an end. Fallen Crest Forever picks up right where Fallen Crest Home left out and we finally get an answer to that burning question. Well, we kind of got an answer to that question.  
     Fallen Crest Forever seemed to just be this rollercoaster, there was just so many ups and downs and yet, at the same time you never wanted it to end. Bur sadly this series is coming to an end and what an end it was!

Royal Games (The Royals of Monterra #3) By: Sariah Wilson

(N) Genesis Kelley didn't just get her heart broken, the aspiring veterinarian had it crushed in front of millions of viewers on the dating reality show Marry Me. Now, just as she's getting her life and dignity back together, her royal heartbreaker, Prince Rafael of Monterra has landed in Frog Hollow, Iowa and he's renting out her aunt's guest cottage.
      Deceiving TV audience for his brother's sake cost Rafe the girl of his dreams. But he's going to fix it, even if it means moving from his mountain-kingdom home to small-town Iowa. This prince isn't going to give up on his princess so easily- especially once he realizes Genesis is in deeper danger than she knows.
     Between fixing her truck, whisking her off to Monterra for a whirlwind date, and charming the entire town, Rafe is thawing the ice around Genesis' heart. But it's going to take a lot to earn back Genesis trust and believe in this real life fairy tale.

     After reading the first book in the Royals of Monterra series I wanted to read more. I skipped the second book in the series because that one didn't seem to interest me that much but I thought for sure that this one would. Apparently I keep putting my hopes up too high because Royal Games just fell short. I couldn't even make it half-way through before I finally just gave up on the whole thing. Genesis and Rafe's story was nowhere near as interesting as Nico and Kat's story and honestly Genesis and Rafe's story was kind of boring at times.

Xander Part One (Rockstar #9) By: Anne Mercier

(N) They met when they were eight years old on the playground and that was the turning point for Xander. Tera stole Xander's heart the first time he laid eyes on her and heard her off-key singing. Everything was perfect, until it wasn't.
      It didn't take long for Xander to figure out that Tera was much too good for him so he did what he thought was best and let her go. Soon Xander would learn just how wrong he was in doing so. Tera was his everything and without her he just wasn't the same anymore.
      When the two finally got together Xander becomes whole again. Now his life has meaning. Being with Tera was perfect, together they loved fiercely and completely.
       Then the time comes when Xander is given the chance to live out his dream. Xander doesn't want to leave Tera behind but she encourages him to go out and live his dream. And as Falling Down gains more success Xander gets pulled further away from Tera and as Tera gains her own success the distance only grows more immensely.
       They both want to live out their dreams and know that their love is strong enough to survive this time and distance apart. Then the unthinkable happens and nothing will ever be the same again.
 
      I along with so many other fans out there have been waiting a long time for this book to come out. Xander has been a central character to the Rockstar series since the beginning and now we can finally read his story.
      Because I had to wait so long to read Xander and because the release date kept getting pushed back over and over again I wasn't sure if by the time this book came out that it would live to the hype that I had made in my head. And sadly Xander wasn't quite as good as I thought it would be. I mean it did have its good parts for the most part (the beginning and that ending wow. With the way Xander ends it explains so much as to why we haven't seen Tera up until this point when she had been in the guys' life for so long) but it was the middle that I really just could not get into. I mean about halfway through the book I found myself thinking, what else could there possibly be to tell in this story? And that's when I was only about half way through the book. But I do have to say that if you do keep reading which you should those last couple of chapters seemed to come just out of nowhere and as I said already explained so much.
      While I didn't particularly like Xander's story overall I did like getting to know more about Xander and his band mates when they were younger and just how much Xander's dad was a part of all of their lives. But what was particularly interesting was reading just how long Xander has been in love with Tera because up until this point we only got the small bits from the Xander Christmas stories and to be truly honest I didn't think that I was really going to like Tera but I'm happy to say that I was happy to be wrong.
       Even though I wasn't fully invested in this story I'm still going to read the next part to Xander and Tera's story. Because while Xander and Tera's story wasn't my favorite out of this series it still got to me and I very much want to find out what happens in part two.

Royal Date (The Royals Of Monterra #1) By: Sariah Wilson

(N) Kat MacTaggart is a girl who has a plan for everything, including her holiday trip to Monterra with her best friend Lemon. Everything was going according to plan, this is until Kat finds herself skiing out of control down a mountainside and being rescued by a guy who looks like Superman's hotter Italian cousin.
       HRH Prince Nico is intrigued by the woman he saved on the slopes and her refusal to date him. Nico offers Kat a deal-- let him show her his country and he'll pay her to write articles that will help Monterra's tourism industry. Kat agrees to write the articles, but given her past and lingering distrust of men, she'll agree on one condition, absolutely no kissing.
      Thanks to the claims of a jealous British noblewoman and the schemes of a meddling paparazzo, Kat's rule doesn't seem to be a problem at first. But the more Kat gets to know Nico and the people around him, the harder it is to remember her keep-your-distance plan. Kat doesn't believe in real life fairy tales, what she does believe in is having a plan, and Kat's not sure if she's willing to stick with her plan or risk to all for a happily ever after.

       Royal Date was a surprisingly good read. When I started reading this book I wasn't sure if I was actually going to like Royal Date or not but I was pleasantly surprised when I did. The beginning seemed to be a little slow but not too bad. And with every new chapter the story got better and better and soon I found myself unable to put this book down. Sariah Wilson really did a great job in getting you to feel for the characters and have you really rooting for everything to work out for Nico and Kat. Royal Date is a book that I would absolutely read again and one that I would recommend others give a read.

Gangster By: Sapphire Knight

(N) They call him the Joker, but he doesn't joke. He doesn't even smile, that is until her. Grace is independent, stubborn, strong, and she won't be one of his toys. Thaddeus isn't like other men, he takes what he wants and what he wants is Grace.
      There are whispers that Thaddeus is a gangster, that his family has ties to the Italian Mafia. No one dares to cross him, that is until a hit is put on his newest obsession. What they don't seem to know is just how crazy Thaddeus really is when it comes to Grace. He would do anything for her, anything to keep her safe, even if that meant going to war.

       While I tend to not be much of a fan for gangster/mob stories this one really got to me. I could not seem to put Gangster down. It's always great when you read a book that you can never seem to put down and are more than a little upset when it's all over and Gangster was one of those books. If you haven't read Gangster yet then I suggest you do.

Fallen Crest Home (Fallen Crest #6) By: Tijan

(N) Sam and Mason are returning to Fallen Crest after Mason receives an internship to work for his father's company for the summer.  There Mason is forced to work with Adam on a project, Mason hates Adam and now both Adam and Becky are back in Sam and Mason's life. And soon Sam and Mason discover that not much has changed since high school.
       Once again Sam and Mason will have to stand up and fight only this time they'll have to fight like never before. This time the stakes are much higher, one wrong move and Mason could lose his pro football career before it even begins. Mason will always protect those he loves no matter the costs but this time Sam knows that there's just too much at risk and this time the one who needs protection isn't Sam but Mason. As if all this wasn't enough Sam's mother is back and although she hasn't talked to her mother in over a year Sam will have to deal with all the hurt her mother has caused her in the past.

      The next book in the Fallen Crest series is finally here! I have been waiting on the edge of my seat these past few weeks just waiting for this book to come out. And after reading Fallen Crest Home I'm still a little unsure if I actually liked this one or not. I have been in love with this series since the very beginning and this book just didn't seem to live up to the rest of the books in this series. Usually while reading this series I become entrapped with the book and cannot seem to want to put it down, I have this need to keep reading and for a long time with this one that just wasn't the case. It wasn't until about half way through Fallen Crest Home that I really started to get into it and by the time I got to the end it made me realize again why I love Tijan so much. Even though this book wasn't my top choice for this series I still suggest giving this series a read.

Who He is (FireNine #1) By: Shanora Williams

(N) Eliza Smith has never been one to seek a relationship. She's never dated a guy in her life, never even hugged a man (outside of her father/manager of the hot and popular rock band, FireNine) but when she decides to spend her summer on tour with FireNine, it all changes when she really gets to meet Gage Grendel, her former crush from high school and lead singer of FireNine. The more time Eliza spends with Gage the more she witnesses sides to him to which she begins to truly despise.
       Eliza tries ignoring him, she dislikes his ways, and does everything she can to try and stay away from Gage until Gage finally gets Eliza to slip up and give in. So Eliza agrees to having a casual fling with Gage, but soon their casual fling starts to blur into something else, something neither of them can control and when it's finally time for Eliza to go and accomplish her own dreams, she'll know she took more from Gage then she ever thought possible.

       I've read Who He Is before and really liked it so I thought when I read it again that I should do a review on it. It's been a long time since I've read Who He Is so it was almost like reading this book for the first time again. And reading it this time I wasn't as into it as I was the first time. I think it had a lot to do with the book just being such a long read and there were a lot of times were things just seemed to be dragging along.

Redemption (Ascension #2) By: Lynn Leite

(N) When Nate Howland follows his sister, Nadine, to her new pack, he hopes that he and his twin brother, Nick, can find a cure for Lycanosis. Lycanosis is this new disease that seems to be stripping the wolf from a shifter, leaving him less than human, with no will to live. What Nate finds is that Lycanosis is no disease but a formula created by a Human woman.
     On the surface things look bad for Quinn Kilborn. While she did create the formula that is being used to harm weres, but there is more to the story, more information that could save her. Now she  just needs to convince Nate Howland to listen to her before he kills her.
 
     Redemption is the second book in the Ascension series and after reading the first one I was really looking forward to this one. And sadly Redemption did not live up to Ascension. It seemed to start out well enough but then just lost its thunder and by the end I was just ready for the book to be over. Having said that now I'm not so sure that I want to continue with this series, which is a little disappointing because I really wanted to like it. 

Ascension (Ascension #1) By: Lynn Leite

(N) Nadine Howland is about to make history. While Alpha born females have always existed none have ever held the role as Pack Alpha in their own right. When an Ascension ceremony is held to announce the new Alphas of several packs Nadine's father, Barron Howland, makes the unheard of decision to name is daughter his successor.
     Nadine expected to be challenged. She knew once it was announced that she would become the Pack Alpha that some of the Alpha males would object to having a female in power. What she didn't expect though was finding her true mate in the process.

      Ascension is a spin-off from the Shifted series by Lynn Leite. In order to fully understand who some of the characters are the Shifted series should be read first.
      Going into this book I wasn't exactly sure what to expect given that by the end of the Shifted series I was not as invested in the series as I was when it began. But I was pleasantly surprised with Ascension. I found that I really enjoyed reading it and could not seem to put it down. If you like reading book about werewolves then this author and series might be just what you're looking for.

Strike (Completion #2) By: Holly S. Roberts

     Any other day professional baseball player Reed Tyler would be considered the perfect prince charming but not on the night he catches Jaycee breaking into his home. Naked and furious he turns the tables on his intruder and becomes the evil villain. When reality snaps Reed back into the real world, he cannot resist being the knight in shining armor when he discovers that Jaycee holds the one thing he has always wanted.

      Strike is the second book in the Completion series. I knew after reading the first book Play that I wanted to read more of this series. And now I'm finally getting around the reading the next book in this series. While Strike was good I didn't find it as entertaining as Play it was still a good book and one worth reading but just not as good as the first one.

Come Away With Me (With Me in Seattle Book #1) By: Kristen Proby

When Luke finds out that she has no idea who he is, he's intrigued and finds himself more than a little tempted by her. Natalie has a body made for sex, a sassy mouth and Luke can't get enough of her, but he's just not ready to tell her who he is. Natalie is a no nonsense girl who doesn't do well with lies and secrets. So when the truth comes out about who Luke really is it could break this new relationship before it even really have a chance to start.

       I've read Come Away With Me a few times before and since I never did a review on it I thought I do one know. While I didn't find this book quite as good as when I read it the first time it still held my interest and had me wanting to keep reading. I've read multiple books in the With Me in Seattle series and this one was the only one that has really stuck with me and one that I've wanted to keep reading after all this time.

Intended (The Potential Series #2) By: M.L. Ridener

     Intended is the next book in the Potential series. This book leaves off not that long after where Intended ended. And unlike with Potential this book focuses more on the relationship between Aribelle's cousin Chloe and Connell's best friend and beta, Falcon. And while I was really into the first book in this series this one just didn't do it for me and now I don't know how I feel about wanting to continue on with this series.

Ari is a Potential and it is said that Potentials have the ability to unlock great power from within their fated mates. The panthers don't care about fated mates the only thing they want is power. Aribelle isn't giving up her freedom without a fight, but she can't shake the fear that always seem to follow her. But all that changes when she moves to the little town of Winago Heights.
       Connell O'Reilly has been plagued by the death of his parents for the past eight years. The attack on his parents was meant to destroy all of them but with the help of his best friend Connell they were able to save their brothers. Because of that night now only the five of them are left and Connell was thrown into the roles of father, provider and Alpha. It wasn't easy to be fifteen and all of a sudden have to take on so many roles but sometimes you have to plays the hands you're dealt. Since then life has been quiet for the five of them, that is until Connell's brothers meet the new girl in town.

       While Potential wasn't as good as some of the other shifter books that I have read I still found myself enjoying the book. And while I don't really have the desire to read this book again I do want to read the next book in this series to see what happens next.
