The Dark Ones By: Rachel Van Dyken

(N) To touch a Dark One is death. To talk to an immortal is suicide. Yet, Genesis has been marked by both. A vampire and the King of the immortals. Genesis' life is no longer her own. And now knowing the truth, her life was never hers to being with. It was theirs, it has always been theirs.

When I began to read The Dark One I didn't have high hopes for it, I didn't think that I would like reading this book. I only ended up reading The Dark Ones because I kept seeing it come up on my recommended list and finally just gave into the whole thing and downloaded the book. And I have to say that I'm glad I did give in and give this book a chance. Going just off of the synopsis I would have said this was a book to skip over but after actually reading, I have to say there's just so much more to this book than what the synopsis gives. I thought this story was going to be about one thing but it was actually something different. If you're like me and thought this wasn't a book worth reading I'd say give it a try anyways.
