A boy who made the biggest mistake of his life. A man who wants to set things right. Best friends for their whole lives, Cole and Brooke didn't plan the pregnancy that led to their teenage marriage. After a year of being miserable and feeling like a failure, Cole leaves, knowing his wife and child will be looked after by his trust fund, and wanting to make more of his life to make his family proud.
Four years later, he tracks them down, and finds that while he's lived a good life, she's struggling - balancing two jobs while raising their daughter, Kaia. It doesn't take long for Cole to realize that he doesn't just want to fix things. He wants to get to know Kaia. And he wants Brooke back. If only life was that simple.
When I first started reading Falling I was into the whole thing but after a while I started to lose interests. By the end of it I was ready for the whole thing to be over. While Cole and Brooke's story continues with another story I'm ending with this one.

MVP By: Rachel Van Dyken
(N) Jax was the golden boy. America's quarterback. He was everything to everyone. Always available. Solid. Jax's can remember how something felt wrong that day. And he hasn't been able to get that feeling to go away. Not when he buried his child. Not when his fiance looked at him like he'd been the reason for it all. Not when Jax looks in the mirror and screams at the top of his lungs.
Football was what kept Jax sane. But he lost everything. And then he got a phone call. Harley was in an accident. She remembered nothing. A gentleman wouldn't fight for her, wouldn't remind her of the pain. So he let her go. Jax let Harley live her happily every after and took all the darkness, all the pain, all the anger.
Only the universe had a sick sense of humor. Harley bumped into him. She pursued him. The beautiful woman Jax used to call his. She said she wanted to make him smile. She didn't know she's the reason he stopped.
I wasn't sure what to expect going into MVP. I had just recently read a book with a similar concept, a couple who lost everything when one of them loses their memory of the couple's time together and thought it wasn't anything to write home about. I mean while I did read the whole book it wasn't something that I would want to read again.

Hollywood Playboy (Hollywood Royalty #1) By: Natasha Madison
(N) Jessica is an entertainment journalist but that was the last thing she thought she would be doing. She thought she would get her degree, would be reporting on stories that made a difference, but now all she reports on is who broke up with who and who is dating who. Jessica was over it. Then she got her next assignment.
He was Hollywood's bad boy. He works hard and plays ever harder. He's rude, he's condescending, and he's made it known he doesn't want Jessica on the tour.
With one month on the road with him, two things might happen:
One, Jessica may never work in this industry again.
Two, She may just be lie everyone else and fall for Hollywood's Playboy.
I wasn't sure what to expect when I started reading Hollywood Playboy. And while this wasn't my favorite book I did like Hollywood Playboy enough that I do want to continue on with this series.

Rewind By: Sandi Lynn
(N) Do you believe in fate? Do you believe in soulmates? Do you believe in second chances?
Since the car accident Quinn has felt like her life was a giant puzzle and was missing the vital piece that would complete her. Little did she knew she would find her missing piece in New York City. He was handsome, kind, and Quinn felt something the moment she met him that she never felt before. For the first time in twelve years, Quinn was happy, and she was convinced that nothing could destroy that feeling.
The day Noah saw her in the art gallery was the day he felt like life had been breathed into him again. She was beautiful and she didn't know who Noah was. She felt something. Noah could see from her eyes and the way she smiled at him that she felt the same connection he felt. She fell in love with him, but Noah had a secret. A secret that could possibly destroy them. Was it worth the risk? what Noah wouldn't give just to be able to rewind time.
I really wanted to like Rewind because it was another Sandi Lyn book. And don't get me wrong while I did enjoy reading Rewind it was nowhere near as good as most of Sandi's other stories. And I think the main reason why I didn't like Rewind as much as Sandi's other books was because it was so short. Just when things started to get interesting the story was basically over. I would have loved to have read more of Quinn and Noah's story instead of just getting right into everything. Overall while this wasn't my least favorite book by Sandi it also wasn't anywhere near my favorite.

Bound By Love (Born in Blood Mafia Chronicles #6) By: Cora Reilly
(N) Nobody expected them to fall in love. When Aria was given to Luca in marriage, people were sure he'd break her.
Aria feared the worst from a man like him. A man without mercy. But somehow she gained his love. Love - a weakness a Capo like Luca shouldn't risk. When Aria betrays Luca by going behind his back for her family, she realizes too late that she might have lost what she's fought so hard to get in the first place: Luca's trust.
The trust of a man who never allowed himself to trust someone unconditionally before.
Luca and Aria's story is the reason why I wanted to enjoy reading the Born in Blood mafia Chronicles so much. And why I didn't find the rest of the stories as interesting I could never get enough of Luca and Aria's story, which is why I was more than a little excited to read more of their story. I think I might have hyped this up a bit too much in my head, because while Bound by Love was not nearly as interesting as Bound by Honor (the beginning of their story) I did enjoy reading more of Luca and Aria's story.
