You Were Mine By: Abbi Glines

(N) This is the ninth book in the Rosemary Beach series, after the last two books that I read in this series not being as good as I thought they would be I sincerely had my thoughts going into this book. But I have to say that I was pleasantly surprised with this book and actually enjoyed it so much to the point where I did not want to put the book down. This book made me want to begin to enjoy the Rosemary Beach series over again which says something because if I didn't like this book I just would have stopped reading the rest of the book in the series to come.
But back to You Were Mine, in this book it was all about Tripp and Bethy. We already met Tripp in Woods and Della stories and we've known Bethy since the beginning. The summer before Tripp ran off he and Bethy had a summer fling. Leaving Bethy was the hardest thing that Tripp has ever done and it left them both broken-hearted. It was not until Bethy started dating Jace (Tripp's cousin) when she started to feel good about herself again after Tripp broke her heart. But all that changed the night when Jace drowned trying to save her life and two years later she still feels guilty about what happened that night.
When Tripp finally comes back to Rosemary Beach he sees Bethy the girl who owns his heart happy with his cousin Jace and it breaks his heart. With Jace gone and Bethy not the same person as she once was Tripp takes it upon himself to watch out for her. Soon Bethy is able to heal from all of the guilt she has felt over the years and is able to be around Tripp without it hurting so much anymore.
This book switches back and forth between the past, eight years ago when Bethy and Tripp were together and the present. When I first saw the switch in time I was a little annoyed I hate when books switch time frames throughout the book but in this story it worked. Glines gave just enough at a time of the flashbacks for you to feel as though you got all that was going on but at the same time was not stuck reading about the past for fifty pages at a time. This is definitely a book in the series that I would recommend reading.

Game for Marriage By: Karen Erickson

(N) Sheridan Harper is a struggling artist who never thought that a guy like Jared Quinn, smoking hot star quarterback for the San Jose Hawks would pay any attention to her but he did. Jared's reputation as a ladies man has been getting him into trouble and he is in need to do some damage control before things get any worse. His publicist comes up with the idea for him and Jared to propose a fake marriage to Sheridan, she needs the money to keep her gallery and he needs a new public image.
After some negotiation Sheridan agrees but wants her own stipulation in the contract. Sheridan finds Jared too tempting so in order to keep a level head in the marriage she adds in a no sex clause.
There can be no sort of intimacy between the two of them but with a clause like the one they have and the temptation Jared and Sheridan feel between them it is only a matter of time before the clause becomes nonexistent.
I got this book for free and with free books it usually goes one of two ways, either I love the book and have to keep it or I can barley make it through till the end and delete it from my kindle as soon as possible. For this book I really enjoyed reading it and would definitely plan on reading it again.

Invisible By: DelSheree Gladden

(N) This is the first book in the Aerling series, Olivia's best friend is not imaginary, not a ghost, and not a figment of her imagination. He is just Mason, Olivia's best friend and the only person that can see him or so she thinks. Olivia saw Mason for the first time when they was five years old and found him crying on the front porch and had no idea that she was the only one who could see him.
It is not until twelve years later when Mason is seen for the first time by someone other than Olivia. When new girl named Robin bumps right into Mason and Olivia she introduces herself to the two of them shocking them both. Mason is enjoying having another person being able to see him while Olivia doesn't enjoy it all that much. Having Robin there begins to bring out some jealously in Olivia, for the first time in twelve years she's having to share her best friend with someone who knows more about what Mason really is than she does.
This book sounded both interesting and had some great reviews so I thought that I would give it a try. I started to enjoy this book but about halfway through it started to slow down for me and I began to lose interest. I think that this book was just not for me I even read the samples of the next two book to see if that peaked my interests a bit more and sad to say it did not. I think that the story line had potential but it just was not there fully.

Something Great By: M. Clarke

(N) This is the first book in the Something Great series, Jenna has only had one serious boyfriend in her life and he cheated on her with her college roommate, so to say that she has trust issues is an understatement. Now fresh out of college Jenna just got hired for a new job she also recently started dating this guy Luke who her friends like to say does not deserve her. Jenna feels that Luke is a safe choice and has yet to find out if his kisses make her see fireworks like her friends say he is supposed to.
Then one night she meets someone who makes her feel things that she has never felt before. Jenna never thought that she would see him again only to keep running into him in different places it is as if fate is stepping in. Then Jenna discovers exactly who Maxwell Knight is and it completely shocks her. When she lands her dream of being able to go to fashion week it soon becomes hard for her to focus on her job with Maxwell right there with her.
When I read the synopsis for this book and saw how much great reviews it had I thought that I would give it a read. But I have to say that this book was not for me. Although I did read through it fully it kind of lost my interest a little more than halfway through.

Gable By: Harper Bentley

(N) This is the first book in the Powers That Be series, when Scout first meets Gable she thinks that he's arrogant, the guy that every girl is warned to stay away from and he has a parade of women that want to sleep with him. It is for this reason that Scout wants nothing to do with him.
On the first day of class Scout is given an assignment to become a pen pals with one of classmates anonymously. She ends up with who she calls #4 and he calls her #6. As time goes on and the two really begin to open up to one another and Scout starts to really like #4. But then the unthinkable happens and Scout realizes that #4 is actually Gable and she can't tell him that she knows who he is and she can't tell him who she is because it goes against the rules. And in reality Gable is starting to become nice to Scout and she begins to worry that he may know that they are pen pals as well.
This is another book that I am not quite sure how I feel about it. I mean I did enjoy this book but I do not think that I enjoyed it enough to want to continue on with it to the next book in the series. What I do have to say is that if this book does sound good to you give it a try it does have its moments.

Hardwired By: Meredith Wild

(N) This is the first book in the Hacker series, Erica has just graduated from college and finds herself at a cross. She is trying to find investors who will either back her startup fashion site or hurt her by not giving her anything. And on top of that her best friend and PR for the site is looking for a job that will take her away not only from Erica but from the site as well. What Erica did not expect was hacker and self-made billionaire Blake Landon who makes her weak in the knees. Blake is used to getting what he wants and he wants Erica but Erica is not willing to let her feelings get in the way of her trying to run a business. Blake is determined to break down Erica's walls and gain her trust in order to gain her even if that means doing things he does not usually do.
I read such great reviews about this book so I thought that I would give it a try. And although I managed to finished this book in just a few days I have to say that this book really was just not I expected. I will not be continuing with reading this series after I just barley finished reading this book and I only managed to finish it because I was so close to the end and just wanted to see how it would end.
