(N) This is the first book in the Aerling series, Olivia's best friend is not imaginary, not a ghost, and not a figment of her imagination. He is just Mason, Olivia's best friend and the only person that can see him or so she thinks. Olivia saw Mason for the first time when they was five years old and found him crying on the front porch and had no idea that she was the only one who could see him.
It is not until twelve years later when Mason is seen for the first time by someone other than Olivia. When new girl named Robin bumps right into Mason and Olivia she introduces herself to the two of them shocking them both. Mason is enjoying having another person being able to see him while Olivia doesn't enjoy it all that much. Having Robin there begins to bring out some jealously in Olivia, for the first time in twelve years she's having to share her best friend with someone who knows more about what Mason really is than she does.
This book sounded both interesting and had some great reviews so I thought that I would give it a try. I started to enjoy this book but about halfway through it started to slow down for me and I began to lose interest. I think that this book was just not for me I even read the samples of the next two book to see if that peaked my interests a bit more and sad to say it did not. I think that the story line had potential but it just was not there fully.
