(N) This is the first book in the Powers That Be series, when Scout first meets Gable she thinks that he's arrogant, the guy that every girl is warned to stay away from and he has a parade of women that want to sleep with him. It is for this reason that Scout wants nothing to do with him.
On the first day of class Scout is given an assignment to become a pen pals with one of classmates anonymously. She ends up with who she calls #4 and he calls her #6. As time goes on and the two really begin to open up to one another and Scout starts to really like #4. But then the unthinkable happens and Scout realizes that #4 is actually Gable and she can't tell him that she knows who he is and she can't tell him who she is because it goes against the rules. And in reality Gable is starting to become nice to Scout and she begins to worry that he may know that they are pen pals as well.
This is another book that I am not quite sure how I feel about it. I mean I did enjoy this book but I do not think that I enjoyed it enough to want to continue on with it to the next book in the series. What I do have to say is that if this book does sound good to you give it a try it does have its moments.
