(N) Everyone has secrets that define them, a past that has shaped the person that they are today. Despite living next door to each other Kade and Raya have never made much of an effort to get to know one another until one wild party, four frat boys and a bulldozer. Sterling Shore was supposed to be a fresh start for freshman Raya Capperton and everything was working out perfectly. That is until her roommates get expelled for a prank leaving Raya with a house she cannot afford on her own. And that's when fate intervenes.
Kade Colton has his life whole life planned out, everything he does he does for a reason, an elaborate game to aid him in the future. Raya doesn't want to like Kade after all the rich have never been good to her before. But little by little Raya's hatred towards Kade lessens and is replaced by something that she never thought that she'd feel for someone like Kade. There's just one problem Raya knows that her past could tarnish the future that Kade has worked so hard to achieve.
I loved this book and could not put it down. I found myself finishing this book in what seemed like no time at all. Then once I was done with this book and saw that the next book in the series was the story told through Kade's point of view I know I had to read it next.
