RoomHate By: Penelope Ward

(N) Amelia just inherited a summer home from her grandmother after she died but Amelia didn't inherit the home alone. Only half the house was given to her, the other half was given to Justin, the boy who her grandmother helped raise and the one person who Amelia has ever loved. Justin is also  someone who now hates her now. Amelia hasn't seen Justin in years not since he broke her heart, back then he was just but boy but now years later he's a man. He's got a hardass personality and a body to match. Amelia and Justin haven't seen each other in years and now they're living together under the same roof for the summer but what's worse, Justin didn't come alone. As much as she doesn't want to admit it there's still a part of Amelia who still has feelings for the boy she fell in love with years ago. Amelia knows that she cannot have Justin there is still a part of her that feels the connection that is between them.
So when I first read a sample of this book I wasn't so sure about this book but I read it anyways. I found that after reading this book I can say that this book was more of a miss than a hit for me. It didn't start out on a high note but then got a little better in the middle before it went back down towards the end. During the middle of this book I found myself getting really into this story but then towards the end I found myself getting bored again. Not a book I can really recommend reading.

Beyond the Cage By: Alana Sapphire

(N) Jasmine isn't one for going to MMA fights but when her best friend drags Jasmine to an MMA fight it changes Jasmine's whole world. MMA champ, Cameron 'K.O.' Jasckson is every women's dream. He's tall, dark, handsome, and a bad boy with a twist. The twist is, that while Cameron may have everything going for him there is just one problem, Cameron doesn't talk, at all. While Cameron acknowledges Jasmine he never says a word to her or anyone else.
Jasmine never pictured herself with a fighter but from the first time Cameron kisses her her whole world is turned upside down. Cameron is a distraction something that she doesn't need right now while she is studying pre-med. Knowing that she shouldn't be with him Jasmine walks away but Cameron isn't one to let her go easily. He tracked Jasmine down and the two ended up diving head first into a relationship. But even though Jasmine and Cameron are spending so much time together it still seems as though she knows nothing about him while he knows so much about her. There is a mystery that surrounds Cameron a mystery that it seems that no one can solve. The only one with the answer is Cameron and he won't say a word. As she finds herself getting deeper and deeper into Cameron's world of MMA Jasmine is about to learn first hand how dangerous this world can actually be.
I really enjoyed reading this book. While Jasmine and Cameron do not have the most conventional type of relationship considering that he never talks it was so interesting to see how their relationship grew despite that. I found myself unable to put this book down and I suggest that you give this book a read.

Surge By: Sloan Storm

(N) Dyson Vix, the bad boy of Formula One Racing, he's the ultimate bad boy. Dyson lives his life in the same manner as how he drives- hard, determined, and as if it could be his last day. The first time Ava meets Dyson is at the doctor's office, he's naked and is accompanied by two groupies. The next time they meet isn't any better, Dyson's just finished some laps around the track, so has his fire suit hung low and the top half of his body on full display. As if her life wasn't complicated enough having to raise her nephew after a family tragedy now unforeseen circumstances have come up and leave Ava with no choice but to leave her nephew and her whole world behind for a few months and hit the road with Dyson and his team. Ava is thrusted into this racing world and the more time she spends with Dyson the more she sees behind the bad boy persona that everyone else sees. The chemistry these two feel for one another is real but their relationship isn't without some complications.
So this book started off really well but as it went on it just seemed to get less and less interesting. I soon found myself skimming through the pages and only really finished it because I just wanted to see how it ended. This book isn't one that I can fully stand behind and say it is worth reading.

The Lady is a Vamp (Argeneau #17) By: Lynsay Sands

(N)  When Jeanne Louise Argeneau left work one night she never could have expected it to end the way it did. On her way home from work a man pops out from her car and stabs Jeanne Louise with some type of chemical in the neck. When she wakes up Jeanne Louise is tied down by a good-looking moral. Jeanne Louise quickly realizes that there's more to her abducted that meets the eyes.
Out of time and desperation Paul Jones makes one last resort. Paul needs a vampire and only Jeanne Louise will do. All he has to do is convince her to help him out. Paul never thought when asking this vampire for a favor would turn into him falling in love with her. But with abducting an immortal comes with answering to the immortal law enforcement and they are hunting them down. Paul and Jeanne Louise are running out of time together with the hunters getting closer and closer as more time goes by. But Paul and Jeanne Louise are willing to risk everything in order to spend an eternity together.
The Lady is a Vamp is the seventeenth book in the Argeneau series. And at first I wasn't going to read this book and had originally just skipped over it in the series but after reading the last Argeneau book and loving it so much I thought that I would give this one a read. And after reading this book I'm glad that I decided to give this book a try because I absolutely loved it. I could not put this book down and kind of regret that I didn't want to read it at first. For that reason this book is not worth skipping over.

Runaway Vampire (Argeneau #23) By: Lynsay Sands

(N) Dante Notte never expected that when the day came where he would meet his life mate that she would first run over him with an RV. Injured with a punctured lung and broken ribs Dante boards the RV but with no driver in sight tries to recover in the back. What Dante never expected was the full-body shock he receives when he first meets Mary Winslow, the RV driver who ran him over.  Before getting run over Dante was running from his pursuers while also trying to save his twin brother from the people who kidnapped them. But now that he's found Mary and his pursuers know they are together he will do everything is his power to keep Mary safe. But it's a challenge when Mary is so stubborn and will not easily follow his orders.
Mary was just on her way to one of the campgrounds she visits every year when she runs over something. When she goes to look outside she doesn't see anything so she keeps driving telling herself she will call the cops at her next stop. What Mary doesn't expect to find in the back of the RV when she stops is a naked, injured, and insanely gorgeous younger man laying in her room. The man insists that they belong together and while Mary cannot deny the connection she feels for this young man she won't let herself believe it. Now the men who captured his twin are after them and Mary will have to trust her gut and trust this immortal stranger in order to survive.
Runaway Vampire is book number twenty-three in the Argeneau series. The books in this series seem to be either a hit or a miss for me and Runaway Vampire was definitely a hit.  I could not put this book down and kept wanting to read what happened next. This book held my attention throughout the entire time I was reading it. I definitely recommend reading this book and this series.

Beautiful Burn By: Jamie McGuire

(N) Ellison Edson is fresh out of college and since college her life has taken a turn for the worse. Ellison has been staying at her family home in Colorado and her behavior has gotten out of control gaining the attention of her parents but not in the way that she expected. Now she's cut from her family's millions of dollars and left to fend for herself not something that she is at all looking forward to. While Ellison tries to drown her new status in alcohol she makes one mistake that she regrets and knows she can never take back.
Like his twin Taylor, Tyler Maddox is a member of the Alpine Hotshots. Together the twins and the rest of their crew fight wild fires on the frontline. Tyler's personality makes it easy for Ellison to keep their relationship a one night affair. But for Tyler meeting Ellison with her extreme personality and dismissive attitude is something that fascinates Tyler and soon without even realizing it he begins to develop feelings for Ellison. But Ellison's inner demons makes any relationship that the two could have together not the easiest thing in the world.
Because this was the last book in the Maddox Brothers series I read this book even though I did not really like the other book so much in the series. Since I already made it so far in the series it only seemed right to finish and after reading this book I stick with my overall stand that this is not the best series that I've read. And I still say that none of these books holds a candle to Beautiful Disaster.
From the beginning I could not get into the character of Ellison she was portrayed to be a spoiled brat and that's just how she stayed with me for the rest of the book. Not matter what Ellison did or how she changed she always managed to just stay that brat to me and I just couldn't find myself rooting for someone like that.

Beautiful Sacrifice By: Jamie McGuire

(N) Beautiful Sacrifice is the third book in the Maddox Brothers series. Falyn Fairchild has walked away from everything, her education, her family, her whole life. Falyn is the daughter of the next governor of Colorado and now she's back home, broke, and waiting tables at the Bucksaw Cafe. After every night Falyn adds money to a shoe box full of cash, she's saving money hoping that one day she'll save enough money to buy herself a plane ticket to the only place where she can find her forgiveness, Eakins, Illinois.
From the second Taylor Maddox is seated in Falyn's section at the Bucksaw Cafe Falyn knows that Taylor's trouble. Taylor is charming and gorgeous even when he's covered in filth. Taylor is a firefighter traveling with his team to where ever the fire is. Falyn isn't interested in becoming another one of the numerous girls to be with Taylor but for a Maddox having a girl be uninterested in him is the ultimate challenge. And once Falyn learns about where Taylor calls home, everything changes.
This is yet another book from the Maddox Brothers, a spin-off from the book Beautiful Disaster. And I have to say that this book did not hold a candle to Beautiful Disaster. I seemed to just finish this book just to finish it. It didn't really hold my attention at all or make me want to read more to find out what happens next. Overall this is a book worth skipping in the series it doesn't seem like there was a whole lot of interesting things happening in this book.

Black Rainbow By: J.J. McAvoy

(N) One week it was only suppose to be for one week and then they would never see each other again. Thea Cunning never expected to see Levi Black again. The two had a steamy one-week fling after they met at a bar. Then come Monday morning and Thea discovers that the man she shared a bed with for a week is not only her professor but he's also one of the top criminal lawyers in that state of Massachusetts.
Everyone in her class is competing for a spot in one of Professor Black's twelve disciples, a group a twelves students that Professor Black takes under his wing. Getting this spot is an opportunity that everyone wants and could mean so much for their career. Thea considers dropping the class and Levi does everything he can to try and get her to drop the class. After all how can you learn and how can you teach when the person you shared a passionate week with is in the same room and you have to pretend like it never happened. But in order to do what Thea wishes to accomplish, getting her father out of prison, she needs to learn from the best and Levi Black is the best.
So this book was good and held my attention throughout the whole thing. It wasn't necessarily the best book that I have read recently but it did keep my attention, which says something and I plan on keeping this book. Overall I would say this is a good book and one that is worth reading.

Logan Kade (A Fallen Crest High Novella) By: Tijan

(N) Everyone knows who Logan Kade is . He's a fighter, partier, and most of all a manwhore. While Logan gives off the persona that he is a manwhore no one realizes the person that he actually is. All everyone sees is the image Logan wishes them to see and nothing more they don't see how loyal is he to those he cares about or how when he's in love, truly in love he loves hard and never lets go. No one has seen that side of Logan that is until Taylor comes along. Taylor sees the side of Logan that he keeps hidden to the rest of the world, the real Logan Kade.
I am in love with the Fallen Crest series and this author. I now have come to a point where I just buy any books in this series without reading the sample just because of how much I love this author and series. It took me just over a day to read Logan Kade and while I did like this book I do have to say that I liked Mason just a little bit better. For anyone one doesn't know Mason is another novella for this series told her Mason's point of view just before the series began. Even though this wasn't my favorite book in the series it still is both a series and a book worth reading.
