(N) This book is about going back to the beginning and seeing it in a new light. In Interlude, the fourth book in the Rockstar series we get to read from the point of views of both Jesse and Gage and how they got to be with the women they have today. We start off with Jesse on the day he met Lucy and the connection he felt with her from that first meeting. From there Jesse watched Lucy from afar watching everything and anything that she acted in before they finally got the chance to meet on the set of Falling Down's latest music video. The book goes into a few more chapters of Jesse's point of view for things that happened during Falling Down which I didn't think were not all that interesting. (Spoiler Alert) But what I did find interesting is that it was Gage who was actually behind Jesse and Lucy finally meeting. Gage saw how these two felt for each other but waited until Jesse was really ready to meet Lucy before putting these two together.
As for Gage's story, his story actually goes back further than what I originally thought. Gage has actually known Sera since she was young and has been in love with her since he first laid eyes on her and knew that she was the one for him. Gage waited years for Sera to reach an age where they could be together and no matter who else he had been with he only ever had eyes for Sera. In Gage's point of view the reader also gets a little more of his past to how he got to become Gio's second in command.
One thing that I did enjoy about this book was reading both Jesse and Gage's point of view. Through this book the reader got to see more into the head of Jesse and Gage and just how much they care about their wives. But there are some complaints I have and that is just that before the synopsis for this book came out it said that this book would be another book about Jesse and Lucy and although it did show their story I thought that it would be more about the present than the past. Another issues is that most of this book does take place in the past and the one chapter on what's happening in the present is just setting up for the next book in the series.
Although I liked reading more of Jesse and Gage's stories and their point of views I did not think that this book was anywhere near as good as the other books in the series.
