(N) Juliette refers to him as Cocky because he of his cocky attitude and she doesn't want to know his real name. They met on spring break five years ago and had a great time together. Juliette and Cocky had a perfect connection, the kind of connected that everyone wants to have. But they went to different schools that were across the country from each other, so they decided they would only have have this one week together. Even though they know they only have a week together that didn't make it any easier when it came time to leave and each go their separate ways.
Now five years later Juliette is a PhD candidate studying concussions with L.A.'s football team. Before starting the study Juliette had to sign a code of conduct stating that she wouldn't get involved with any of the players which wouldn't have been a problem for her if it wasn't for the team's new quarterback, Cocky.
To Travis Juliette will always be Sexy. Travis came to LA to win a championship, nothing else mattered. That was until he saw Sexy again. When they first met she wouldn't tell him her name so he called her Sexy. It was only supposed to be one night together but she ended up stealing his heart. Juliette thought that Travis would just forget about her once their spring break week was over but he never did. Now that she's back in his life Travis isn't going to let her go without a fight.
Shaken is yet another book that has a bonus book included in it. I have said this before but I am not the person that likes having the bonus books included, mostly because with the bonus books included you never get a sense of how much of the book you have left. These books also give you a false sense in just how long the book is if you are not aware of the bonus book. Also the bonus books are usually either books I already have in my library or books that I have no interest in reading.
As for the book Shaken itself this I found to start off on the right foot but as the book went on it started to bore me and towards the end of it I was just skimming through the whole thing just wanting to find out how it ended and how Travis and Juliette's relationship would eventually be found out because you know it was inevitable. While I won't give away how the league found out about Travis and Juliette's relationship I will say that the whole thing was anti-climatic. I thought that the author was going to go one way on how their relationship would be found out but the author decided to go a different way, and let's just say it wasn't a better way. This is a book that can really just be skipped.
