Saint Anything By: Sarah Dessen

 (N) I have been a fan of Sarah Dessen for years and reading this book just made me all that much more of a fan. This books takes a few chapters to get into but once you start reading you will not be able to stop. I know cause once I really started reading this book I just could not put it down and managed to finish it for the most part in just one day.
Saint Anything is about Sydney a girl who has always felt invisible thanks to her older brother Peyton. Sydney has gotten used to her brother getting all of the attention both at school and at home. Then he began to act out and started participating in acts of self-destruction such as drugs and other illegal activities. When after one night of driving home and hitting a boy crippling him Peyton is now serving time in prison and now Sydney is one her own questioning so much. Sydney's father is working all the time and her mother is showing signs of thinking that Peyton being in jail is not as bad as it should be.
Then Peyton meets the Chatham family, she is drawn to their warm and chaotic everyday lives. Lives that Peyton has never experienced before. There's Layla who is constantly falling in love with the wrong kind of guy, Rosie who has had her own type of fall from grace, their quiet brother Mac who Sydney begins to feel as though someone is finally seeing her and Mrs. Chatham who even with her ailing health seems to be the heart of the family and someone Sydney knows she can go to whenever she needs to talk to someone.
I enjoyed reading this book and my only really complaint comes from the book seeming to just end out of nowhere leaving the reader to wonder just what does happen next? But besides that not only do I recommend people read this book but other books by this author as well you will not regret it and know that I don't.
One thing I do have to say that I love about this author is that she incorporates things from her previous books into every new book that she writes. Although they may be something small like a mention of a place where a previous book took place it makes you think back to the other books and makes you appreciate this author all the more. It also makes you feel as though all of the books are connected and that Dessen is proud of all the books that she has written.

Stripping the Billionaire By: Noelle Adams

(N) Stripping the Billionaire is the fourth book in the Heirs of Damon series. For the last eight months Mandy has lived across the hall from someone she considers to be a caveman. He doesn't trim his bread, he barley talks to anyone except for her, and he barley ever comes out of his apartment. Ben is a mess but Mandy still tries to be his friend and be kind to him even when he doesn't want her to be. Mandy doesn't find herself attracted to Ben at all, she is looking for a man who she can call a husband and that is not something that she can see with Ben. But whenever she does start to get some semblance of feelings for Ben Mandy just passes it off as a fluke.
Benjamin Damon is one of the heirs to a billion-dollar corporate empire, but unlike the rest of his family he wants nothing to do with the Damon name. Ben has put his family and the Damon lifestyle behind him and has chosen to go by a different name not telling anyone who he really is. No one knows who Ben really is not even Mandy, the girl next door who refuses to leave Ben alone. When Ben has to go to Savannah to work on his mother's historic home Mandy ropes Ben into bringing her along to help with the house. Ben begins to realize how wrong it was it bring Mandy along, Mandy is a woman who represents the lifestyle that Ben once had and he wouldn't let her strip away the new man he is and become what he once was again. But the more time they spend together the more Ben wants to be with Mandy. Despite his best efforts Ben is falling for Mandy but he is dreading the day that Mandy learns the truth about who he really is.
I personally didn't read this series in order I only read books 3 and 4. I don't think necessarily that you need to read the other books but fair warning in reading out of order you will know the future of the relationships established in the prior books in the series. With that being said I did enjoy reading this book and would recommend others reading it as well.

Mate Bond (Shifters Unbound #7) By: Jennifer Ashley

(N) This is the seventh book in the Shifters Unbound series. In order to cement his leadership in the North Carolina Shiftertown Bowman O'Donnell chose Kenzie as his mate. It was a mating of convenience to bring two powerful wolf shifters together and to keep Kenzie's uncle from trying to completely go against Bowman and his leadership.
Bowman and Kenzie would do anything to keep each other safe. They each find comfort in the other's arm but even as long as they have been together neither has ever felt the mate bond. As strong as their matting has grown over the years Kenzie and Bowman still have not been able to form the mate bond, the magical joining of two true mates.
Now a new kind of monster is causing havoc in the countryside and threatening the Shiftertown community. Some in the community do not think that Bowman is strong enough and will be able to take down this new threat and they think that it is them who can. Bowman and Kenzie will have to rely on their years of trust and knowledge of each other to save their shifters.
I managed to finish this book in a day. I just did not want to put it down. This book was enjoyable to read and while I wouldn't say that it was the best in the series but it was still an enjoyable read and something that I would definitely recommend others to read as well.

When I'm Gone By: Abbi Glines

(N) When I'm Gone is the eleventh book in the Rosemary Beach series. This book focuses on Mase Colt-Manning who we first met in Take A Chance as Harlow's brother and Reese Ellis.
Mase has always preferred his life on the ranch in Texas than as the son of a rock star. Mase rarely visits the world of Rosemary Beach especially when it involves being in the same house as his vile half-sister Nan. But this last time while staying at the house in Rosemary Mase meets the young and gorgeous Reese Nan's housekeeper. Meeting Reese does something to Mase and makes him feels things that he hasn't felt before.
Reese finally has her freedom she is away from her house from hell. After escaping a house of lifetime abuse by her mom and stepfather and school with people mocking for having an undiagnosed learning disorder she got a job cleaning houses to some of the richest families in Rosemary Beach. But when she accidentally breaks something in one of the house of an important client, Nan Dillion to be precise Reese's job becomes in jeopardy. Then comes along a half-naked stranger from one of the rooms in the house to her rescue. Reese is intrigued by Mase but then once he begins to show interest in her Reese's past insecurities make it hard for her to truly be with Mase. Reese has never been comfortable around men before but Mase does something to her that makes her want to trust him.
I did enjoy this book and managed to finish it in just two days. Although I did enjoy this book I have to say that it still doesn't beat the original/first story of Blaire and Rush. While it may not beat the first story in this series it still was a good story either way, better than others that I have read in this series. It is for that reason why I would recommend for people to read this book.

Grey By: E.L. James

(N) This is the fourth book in the Fifty Shades of Grey series, this book is told from Christian's point of view. Grey is mostly Christian's point of view of the first book in the series with a little bit of the second book thrown in at the end. If you are thinking about reading this book then it means that you have already read the first three books in the series so there's no need for me to go on and tell you what this book is about so instead I'll just say what I liked about reading Grey.

One of the many things I enjoyed about this book was being able to get into the mind of Christian Grey. In the previous books in the series all we knew about Christian was what he shared with Ana and what his family members shared with her. But in this book we were actually able to really inside the mind of Christian Grey. Through flashbacks and this new point of view we got to see more of the dynamic relationship between Christian and Mia. We got more insight on just how much Mia's arrival with the Greys and their relationship now has affected Christian and how much he treasures that relationship. Another enjoyable factor was seeing more of Christian and Elena's friendship and through a few flashbacks how their relationship was when Christian was Elena's submissive.

What I thought was an interesting tidbit was getting to read the bits here and there about how Leila was when she was Christian's submissive and how in the beginning Christian was comparing Ana to her. But the thing that really caught my attention was the little bits here and there after Leila incident at Christian's apartment while he was away. During that time that Leila was missing there were a few clues that maybe Leila was in Christian's apartment a lot more than when we were told in the books beforehand. There were few things here and there that made you wonder was that Christian's mind playing tricks on him or was that Leila lurking in the background?

What was probably the most interesting aspect of the book in catching the reader's attention actually came towards the end of the book when Ana left Christian. We know from Fifty Shades Darker that Christian was affected by Ana leaving him but now we got to see what that time away from each other was like for Christian. It was heartbreaking reading the breakup in his point of view, reading his feeling about the whole time makes his feelings for Ana all the more real. You get to see Christian come to the realization that he cannot live without Ana and just how much being with Ana has changed him.

I know that there are people out there who are commenting about how they didn't like this book and that's okay it just wasn't for them. I have been wanting to read Fifty Shades from Christian's point of view since we got a little preview at the end of Fifty Shades Freed. As for me personally I was more than happy with how this book turned out. I really hope that James continues with re-writing Fifty Shades Darker and Fifty Shades Freed from Christian's point of view because now that I read this one I really want to read the next ones from his point of view.

Catch and Release By: Ella Fox

Before meeting Darby and her family the only person Trace ever loved was his brother Tristan. Meeting Darby was like having a light go off inside of him. Darby wasn't just Trace's best friend, she was his life. Darby was always the one who knew whenever he was down and stay with him until he calmed down. Darby was Trace's everything.
Darby has been by Trace's side since she first met him and through it all her feelings for Trace has never change. But no matter how much she tried and how much she wanted no amount of time could make Trace believe that he was actually what Darby deserved. After one time too many times of going back and forth with Trace Darby can't take it anymore and decided to finally move on.
Sometimes you need to lose what you treasure most in order to understand how much it actually means to you. When Trace finally realizes that by losing Darby he loses everything he finally decides that it's time to man up and fight for the woman he wants.
This book is actually the second book in a series the first being Catch My Fall. I read a sample of the first book but it didn't hold my attention as much as this book did and after reading this book I still am not tempted to read the first one. Although I did enjoy this and would recommend people read it just because I didn't read the first one doesn't mean you shouldn't read it for yourself not reading it was just my opinion. For those who also don't want to read the first book don't worry you don't lose out on anything by not reading the first book and just going right to the second book.

I really enjoyed this story. I read the prequel before reading the entire novel and both did a great job of grabbing my attention. This would be a book that I recommend people to read. But if after reading this and you still don't think that this book is for you give the prequel a chance and then you'll know if you should continue on with the novel.

Oliver's brother Liam, tells him that Delilah is just the type of woman that Oliver needs but Oliver doesn't believe Liam. Oliver believes that he has a heart of stone after a girl he loved so many years ago wronged him leaving him never wanting to love again. But being around Delilah begins to bring strong emotion to Oliver an emotion that he doesn't want to feel but Oliver cannot deny what he feels for long.
I literally could not put this book down. I give it five stars and definitely recommend people to read. This is a book that I enjoyed reading and will be reading over and over again. You will not be disappointed with this book. Sandi Lynn just got herself another fan of her books.

Rude By: Michelle Hughes

(N)   Sarah Elizabeth has never had any experience when it comes to the opposite sex so when Luke and Liam walked into the mix it turns her whole world upside down. Sarah Elizabeth met Luke one drunken night in a bar never thinking that she would see him again only to learn that he and his twin brother Liam play a major role in the future of her store.
Luke and Liam may be twins but they are polar opposites. Liam is the alpha man of the two brothers with his bedroom eyes and delicious abs Sarah Elizabeth cannot help but be drawn to him even though he is a complete bad boy. Liam is just the type of guy that Sarah Elizabeth should stay away from he makes her forget all the rules and could just very well break her heart.
Luke is the opposite of his brother he is charming, respectful and is a man that Sarah Elizabeth could see yourself with for the rest of your life. There couldn't be a more perfect man out there than Luke. Luke and Liam create a man that no one can resist. And when given the opportunity to be with both how can Sarah Elizabeth say no?
I enjoyed reading this book it was a good story but not a great story. That being said this is still a book worth reading.
