When I'm Gone By: Abbi Glines

(N) When I'm Gone is the eleventh book in the Rosemary Beach series. This book focuses on Mase Colt-Manning who we first met in Take A Chance as Harlow's brother and Reese Ellis.
Mase has always preferred his life on the ranch in Texas than as the son of a rock star. Mase rarely visits the world of Rosemary Beach especially when it involves being in the same house as his vile half-sister Nan. But this last time while staying at the house in Rosemary Mase meets the young and gorgeous Reese Nan's housekeeper. Meeting Reese does something to Mase and makes him feels things that he hasn't felt before.
Reese finally has her freedom she is away from her house from hell. After escaping a house of lifetime abuse by her mom and stepfather and school with people mocking for having an undiagnosed learning disorder she got a job cleaning houses to some of the richest families in Rosemary Beach. But when she accidentally breaks something in one of the house of an important client, Nan Dillion to be precise Reese's job becomes in jeopardy. Then comes along a half-naked stranger from one of the rooms in the house to her rescue. Reese is intrigued by Mase but then once he begins to show interest in her Reese's past insecurities make it hard for her to truly be with Mase. Reese has never been comfortable around men before but Mase does something to her that makes her want to trust him.
I did enjoy this book and managed to finish it in just two days. Although I did enjoy this book I have to say that it still doesn't beat the original/first story of Blaire and Rush. While it may not beat the first story in this series it still was a good story either way, better than others that I have read in this series. It is for that reason why I would recommend for people to read this book.
