(N) This is the seventh book in the Shifters Unbound series. In order to cement his leadership in the North Carolina Shiftertown Bowman O'Donnell chose Kenzie as his mate. It was a mating of convenience to bring two powerful wolf shifters together and to keep Kenzie's uncle from trying to completely go against Bowman and his leadership.
      Bowman and Kenzie would do anything to keep each other safe. They each find comfort in the other's arm but even as long as they have been together neither has ever felt the mate bond. As strong as their matting has grown over the years Kenzie and Bowman still have not been able to form the mate bond, the magical joining of two true mates.
      Now a new kind of monster is causing havoc in the countryside and threatening the Shiftertown community. Some in the community do not think that Bowman is strong enough and will be able to take down this new threat and they think that it is them who can. Bowman and Kenzie will have to rely on their years of trust and knowledge of each other to save their shifters.
      I managed to finish this book in a day. I just did not want to put it down. This book was enjoyable to read and while I wouldn't say that it was the best in the series but it was still an enjoyable read and something that I would definitely recommend others to read as well.
