Catch and Release By: Ella Fox
(N) Darby McKenzie met Trace and Tristan Chamberlain when her family moved to the twins neighborhood. At the time Darby was four and the twins were five and with that one meeting it changed all of their lives.
Before meeting Darby and her family the only person Trace ever loved was his brother Tristan. Trace and Tristan lived through years of abuse while living with their grandmother, abuse that left them permanently scared and unable to truly be whole for most of their lives. Meeting Darby was like having a light go off inside of him. Darby wasn't just Trace's best friend, she was his life. Darby was always the one who knew whenever he was down and stay with him until he calmed down. Darby was Trace's everything.
Darby has been by Trace's side since she first met him and through it all her feelings for Trace has never change. But no matter how much she tried and how much she wanted no amount of time could make Trace believe that he was actually what Darby deserved. After one time too many times of going back and forth with Trace Darby can't take it anymore and decided to finally move on.
Sometimes you need to lose what you treasure most in order to understand how much it actually means to you. When Trace finally realizes that by losing Darby he loses everything he finally decides that it's time to man up and fight for the woman he wants.
This book is actually the second book in a series the first being Catch My Fall. I read a sample of the first book but it didn't hold my attention as much as this book did and after reading this book I still am not tempted to read the first one. Although I did enjoy this and would recommend people read it just because I didn't read the first one doesn't mean you shouldn't read it for yourself not reading it was just my opinion. For those who also don't want to read the first book don't worry you don't lose out on anything by not reading the first book and just going right to the second book.
