Mr. Right By: J. S. Cooper

(N) Some nights are meant to remain a secret. Some nights are meant to be for fun. And some nights are only meant to last one night. It was never supposed to happened but they couldn't stop themselves. And soon that one night turned into more. But there was just one problem, they were never meant to be together. He was her Mr. Right, but he shouldn't be. However, he is the one man that she cannot get out of his head. As much as she wants to be with him, he's the one man who could ruin her.
While they share the secret of their relationship together he also has secrets of his own. But his secrets are bigger, bigger than anything that she could handle. A secret so big that it could ruin everything.
First off I would just like to start off by stating that I did not read this book in its entirety mostly because I just couldn't. I was having so many issues with this book that I just could not deal with reading the entire thing. There was just so many problems with this book that made it so hard for me to enjoy it.
One of the many problems I had with this book was that this book mostly consisted of the two main characters' thoughts and not much on them speaking to each other. I found myself wondering multiple times how many pages would I have to read through before someone actually said something aloud. Another problem I had was that Jess was just made out to be such a naive and pushover character that there was no way the reader could root for someone like her. She let herself get treated like crap and took it without ever really standing up for herself. (Spoiler) Another issue I had was the ending, Evan literally broke Jess' heart but she forgave him just in time for the ending. To me what Evan did to her was not something that Jess should have easily forgiven but she did. All Evan had to do was just profess his love for Jess and she forgave him, even though he did something that not most women would forgive so easily. In that aspect I really feel as though this was just an unrealistic and unsatisfying ending to an even more disappointing book. This book is definitely not worth reading or the price it is asking for.
