(N) Twenty-four year old Leigh Storm returns home to a town she was once desperate to leave after her father gets injured in an accident. And it only becomes a matter of time before Leigh runs into Max 'Manwhore' Morgan. Max is the last person that Leigh wants to see. It's been four years since Leigh last saw Max but there's no denying that there is still some chemistry between these two even after all those years apart. When Max sees Leigh again he makes it clear it her that he isn't about to let her run off on him again, even if he is the one type of guy Leigh vowed that she would never date, a street racer.
Racing is the reason as to why Leigh's family got torn apart so Leigh decided long ago that this was not the type of life that she wanted for herself. But when a wager gone wrong threatens her dad's livelihood, Leigh will have to go against everything she swore she would never do.
This was yet another one of my books that I got for free and have had it in my to-read pile for a while now but found other books that I wanted to read first. When I first started reading this book I found it to be a little interesting and something I found myself enjoying to read. With that being said towards the end I did end of skipping over it a bit because it was just a little much at the end. What seemed to first be going at a good pace slowly lead to a lot happening all at once and I found myself unable to enjoy reading this.
